Sana's POV:
"Sana, why are you dragging me to an arcade parlor? Dance practice was really intense today, can't we just stay home, cuddle up and have a movie marathon with other members?" My girlfriend, Dahyun, whined as I rolled my eyes and continued driving down the streets of Hongdae.
"I miss taking you out because we haven't had a proper date night out for weeks." I said, pouting a little.
Knowing that this is a battle Dahyun would not win, she kept her mouth shut and played with my fingers instead which were intertwined with her own.
Fifteen minutes later, we arrived at the arcade parlor. We exited the car and went inside. The place is lit by dim lights, classic k-pop music flows loudly through the speakers above. I directed Dahyun to get us some drinks and snacks while I went across the room to pay the rental fee for the billiards room, pool balls and sticks. We met back up at a small table in the eating area next to the rows and rows of different game booths / stalls.
"Alright Minatozaki, let's get this over with." She said as she finished her fries and ice cream, and tossed her napkin on the table.
"Don't sound so excited, Dubu." I said sarcastically with a smirk which made her pout and stomp her foot like a little kid. I love teasing my baby girl, she is just too cute!
--------------------------------------------------
"WAAA! Damn it!" Dahyun screamed in frustration as the cue ball flew out of the pool table which made me burst out laughing. It was so funny I couldn't help but laugh for a full minute, tears dropping out from the corner of my eyes.
"Damn babe, I didn't know you suck so much at this game hahaha!" I said, still laughing.
"HA-HA, very funny." She deadpanned. "I don't know what I'm doing wrong."
I saw how Dahyun sighed and slumped her shoulders dejectedly. I suddenly felt guilty as I don't like seeing my girlfriend sad or moping like that. I leaned my stick against the side of the table and crossed over to retrieve the cue ball before going over to her. She set the ball down in its previous spot.
"Come here, babe. Line up your shot like how you did it before."
She didn't want to do it at first but eventually complied. She leaned over the table, left hand stretched forward to hold the stick in a stationary position while her right goes in the opposite direction and was placed near the end of the stick.
"Okay, first of all, you're starting with your right hand too far back." I explained as I slide her hand further up the stick. "Secondly, loosen up your grip on your left hand. The stick isn't going to move smoothly if you've got a tight grip on it."
I moved behind her and placed my hands on her hips. I smirked when I felt her took a deep breath in at the contact. "Your body is basically parallel to the table," I rotated her hips a little bit, "You need to be at an angle. Now, try again."
Dahyun took her next shot and it was a lot better than the last one, she managed to hit the ball she was aiming for. Unfortunately, the force she hit the ball with was too much and it sent the ball skittering out of control.
"You're doing too much, Dubu. Just relax." I said calmly as I moved back behind her, only this time, I pressed tightly against her. "Just feel me, follow my movements." I whispered in her ear. Dahyun closed her eyes and bit back a groan. I knew she was starting to feel flustered.
I placed my hands over each of Dahyun's and tilted her hips back just enough to have her fight to keep contact and move her hips back into mine. I lined up the shot and pulled back on her right hand, bringing the stick back before surging forward just enough to successfully strike the cue ball and send it reeling into the intended target, the seven ball. The seven ball ricocheted off the cue ball and rolled into the middle pocket. Bingo!
"Woah!" Dahyun exclaimed in astonishment.
I let go of her and took a step back. "It's that easy."
"YAH! For you it is. How did you get so good at pool anyway?" She asked.
The question suddenly made me feel a little nervous because I knew where that was heading and it may just ruin our night. Ugh! "Oh, um, you know. I-I just, I just am," Oh shit! Now is not the time to stutter Sana! "You know we had a pool table for awhile there at the dorm."
Knowing Dahyun, I knew there was no escaping her as she was one persistent human being.
"But how did you get so good? Who taught you?"
I suddenly bit my lower lip, I couldn't lie to her and lying would only make things worse.
"Um, Tzu-Tzuyu." I cringed as the name of my ex crossed my lips, knowing how jealous Dahyun can get sometimes.
When Tzuyu and I were together, it did enough damage to my friendship with Dahyun, not minding bringing the romantic feelings we were both too afraid to admit into the mix. I would always ditch Dahyun to hang out with Tzuyu. Dahyun finally had enough and confronted me about it. Let's just say that didn't go too well. In fact, it got to the point where we didn't talk to each other for almost two weeks as we were both so mad. But in the end, I conceded and ended up knocking on their room, and dragged Dahyun out of the dorm to apologize. We kinda had an argument again then. During the heated argument, Dahyun let it slip that the Tzuyu thing made her so mad because she was in love with me and was jealous that I was spending all my time with Tzuyu and pretty much ignored her presence.
It worked out in the end though. As soon as Dahyun admitted her feelings to me, I lunged forward and locked our lips together in a hard kiss. After the initial shock wore off and Dahyun finally responded to the kiss, I broke away and told her that I was in love with her too. That I would make it right so I ended my relationship with Tzuyu and then I asked Dahyun to be my girlfriend.
That was a year ago.
But bringing it up never failed to make Dahyun's hints of insecurity when it came to Tzuyu.
"Oh." She simply replied, turning away from me and focusing back on the table.
"Babe, don't do this again please." I pleaded.
"Do what?"
"Shut me out like you always do when Tzuyu is brought up in a conversation."
"I'm not."
"Yes you are. Baby, look at me." I commanded gently as I turned her around, placing a hand on her cheek in order to guide her face to mine. I looked deeply into her eyes.
"Forget about what happened before. I love YOU. I've been with YOU for the past year and it has been the best year of my life. I don't want anyone else, I never will. You are the one for me, Kim Dahyun. You don't need to be jealous or insecure or anything of that nature when it comes to exes or people flirting with me or whatever the case may be, because I am irrevocably yours and only yours. I love you, Dahyun." I said, pouring out all the love and compassion I had for her.
She said nothing but her facial expression says it all, her eyes were now brimming with tears. And I knew, I made her happy. She softly cupped my face with her hands and closed the gap between us in a chaste passionate kiss. Before we even realized what was happening, Dahyun has ended up sitting on the side of the pool table with myself trapped in between her legs. I held on tightly to her waist before sliding around to slip under the front of her shirt and traced over her toned torso.
Eventually, the intensity of our kisses slowed down until they became a gentle caressing of lips. Panting and out of breath, we pulled back and rested our foreheads together.
She lovingly gazed at me. "I love you too, Sana."
