They placed my hospital bed beside yours Max, it breaks my heart that I can't even get up and sit by you, that I can't hold your lifeless hand in mine. Sam visited us both today, he thought I was asleep, but I wasn't; I overheard him talking to you though; he had said, "Dad, I know you don't know me, and I don't really know you either, but I need you, I really do, I don't know what to do about mum, I can't help but get upset, I can't lose you both." 

It made me cry.
