"I'm sorry I worried you..." Marie was twirling the wire of the hospital's wall phone between her fingers. The skeleton watched her with half open eyes, since her exasperation on the phone was more interesting to him than the limited amount of channels provided on the television. It had been a few hours since he had first woken up at the hospital, and he had, much to his relief, regained feeling in his body now that the sedation had worn off. However, his movements were limited due to the casting around his torso, so the most he could do without too much pain was turn his head and roll his eyes, his hands restlessly fidgeting with the covers. "Alright... yes, I'll have you look at it later... I love you too... Bye." She hung up with a sigh, slumping into the seat under the television.

"Boyfriend..?"

"Fiancé." Marie smiled softly. It really was a relief to hear him coherently speaking again. "I broke my phone last night after you gave me a scare. I owed him an explanatory phone call."

"S-Sorry to cause trouble."

"It's not your fault I hit you with a car."

"If it was I wouldn't remember." He said with a half grin, though the fact that his amnesia was this bad really scared him. Marie gasped a little, standing up and dialing again on the phone. "That reminds me, I think I know someone who can help."

"R-Really?" He watched her in slight disbelief. She nodded, though was taken off guard by the panicked voice on the other line. "Hello??"

"Mr. Dreemurr? This is Marie, from the Center Circle?"

"O-Oh.. oh! You, yes. Oh goodness, I'm running late, aren't I? I'm terribly sorry, we've been having a bit of a family crisis last night and this morning."

"It's no worries, sir, I've been a bit preoccupied as well. Listen, can we meet in about half an hour at the town park by the waterfall? This interview may have to shift gears towards more pressing matters."

"I'm very glad you said that actually. I was wondering if you'd be able to assist me in my troubles as well. I suppose I'll see you shortly?"

"Yes, I'll see you then." Marie hung up the phone once more, turning to see the skeleton in bed staring at her with extreme confusion. "Dreemurr...?"

"Asgore Dreemurr?" Marie bit her lip at seeing his panic start to return. Is he that important? Do I know this guy? Why is she staring at me like I'm an idiot, is it that basic of a thing I forgot?

"He, uh.." Marie decided that she shouldn't send the poor thing into a panic attack before leaving him alone. "I-I doubt you knew him. He's just someone who happens to know a lot about a lot of monsters."

"Oh... alright.." He didn't buy it for one second. She knew it as well. "I'm gonna ask him if he knows anyone looking for a skeleton, alright?"

"Y-Yeah." He didn't really have much of a choice anyways, hardly moving from the moment Marie got dressed to when she was out the door to interview Asgore. "I'll just... sit here..." He said a bit irritated, his eye sockets going dark as he stared up at the ceiling. Not like I remember how to do anything else.

Asgore sat on the edge of the fountain, the newest addition to the park. In the center of it was a statue of he and Frisk shaking hands, forever immortalizing the day that monsters were once more permitted to step foot on the surface again. He didn't really notice as people pointed and gawked at him as they realized who he was. He just sat and patiently waited, though he was anything but calm. Sans had always been insightful and loyal in the underground, always mindful of his brother and the royal guard. On the surface, he had gotten to know him better as family. Though he kept it to himself, Sans was the only person he felt he could trust his Toriel to.

And now he was gone.

"Mr. Dreemurr?"

He jolted a bit, turning towards the familiar voice. Despite the worry in his eyes, a small smile formed on his lips. "Ah, you must be Marie."

"That would be me." She smiled back, sitting beside him at the fountains edge. "Listen... I know I was super excited about this interview, but a lot's happened since yesterday."

"I'm selfishly glad I'm not the only one." His smile fell as he stared down at the pavement in front of him. "You see... a part of my family disappeared last night. Scary things happened, and we never heard from him again." He looked up at her. "If you could help us, I'd be forever grateful.."

"Oh, oh my God I'm so sorry..." She watched him concerned. "What is it that I can do to help?"

"Actually... I was wondering, err, hoping, that you could put our lost flier in your paper." He pulled from his pocket a folded piece of paper. "Please... we don't have any other options."

Marie nodded, taking the paper into her hands. "Yes, absolutely, of course!" She smiled softly, opening the paper up. "I'll help in any way I-" She felt her stomach drop.

Lost Skeleton: Sans was in bold at the top of the page. Below it was a picture that took up the majority of it. Sans was dressed in his favorite blue hoodie, smirking with a bottle of ketchup in his hand, sitting on the couch. There were people sitting on either side of him on the couch, but they had been cropped out. Below it were more words in all capital letters. WENT MISSING TUESDAY MORNING. WAS LAST SEEN WEARING A GRAY T-SHIRT AND SHORTS. IF YOU HAVE ANY INFORMATION, PLEASE CALL.

"A-Asgore..." Marie said weakly, the paper shaking in her hands. "I-I..." She looked up at him with tears in her eyes. "I... know where he is...

"You found him!?" He asked bewildered, a grin spreading on his face. "Oh that's such a relief! We were worried si-"

"He doesn't even remember his own name."
