Chapter 2

Hazels POV

I ran out the door to go get night ready and Snow Flower, Kathy's horse, ready for a trail ride. I was bringing Enzho and Texan along so Enzho could eat and Texan could play. I put my shoulder strap on so Enzho could land there and no scratch me. I whistled for him and he came flying down from a bird house I built him. He could go inside but only when it rains. As he landed on my shoulder I started to walk again. I went up to the hayloft to pick up Texan.

"Texan!" I called and he came tumbling out of of the feed room coved in little pieces of hay. I picked him up and brushed him off. I set Enzho on his perch in the barn and started to tack up Snow Flower. Wen she was tacked up I ran in to get Kathy.

"Lets go Kathy!" I called, but when she didn't respond i walked in. I could hear voices coming from the living room. It sounded like my parents and 2 male voices. I walked in and saw 2 strange guys sitting on one side of the room and mom, dad, Cole, and Kathy sitting on the other all crammed together.

"Kathy, I thought we were going for a trail ride?" I asked puzzled.

"Oh ya you two should go do that!" My mom said really quickly.

We walked over to the wolf pen which I think is a little to big for only one wold but still. We got Risky out and watched his run around the come back to Kathy.

I walked out with Kathy, once we were at the barn I asked her what was that all about. "What were those two men doing in our house!" I roared growing impatient.

"They are scientist sent here by...." She said but I couldn't hear the last part.

"By who." I asked calming myself a little.

"By.......CHRIS!" She spit out. I froze I couldn't move. Anger and sadness boils over in me.

I quickly shifted into my black Arabian and galloped out the barn. I could hear galloping hoof beats behinds me, but I didn't care. I whinnied for Enzho and soon found him flying by my side. I galloped into the forest and hoped over the dry creek.

When I hit my 'Thinking Tree' I stopped and shifted into my human body. Enzho landed on my shoulder as I started to climb the ladder. It's been about a year seance I've been here.

Enzho POV

I was eating a rat when I heard Hazel call for me. I landed to her shoulder as she walked to the barn. She called for 'Texan' the coyote who was about up to her knee. She sat me on my perch and I watched her saddle a white horse. When Hazel was done she left to go somewhere.

Hazel and her sister Kathy came into the barn yelling at each other.

"They are scientist sent here by...." Kathy said with a worried look on her face.

"By who." Hazel asked growing impatient.

"By.......CHRIS!" Kathy said realy annoyed.

I remember Hazel telling me about Chris when she was little and she always said how cute his eyes are, or his hair is just perfect.

Hazel was filled with anger and sadness and I could sense it.

Hazel went running out of the barn in her horse form. But when I heard her call for me I went flying. I fallowed her for about 2 minutes before we hit the forest. I flew above the trees but not to hight were I couldn't see her.

After about 5 more minutes she sifted into her human. I flew down and landed on her shoulder. As she was climbing the ladder to a tree house. If I remembered right this was what she called her 'Thinking Tree'.

Coles POV

I heard a knock on the door when I was watching TV. I could hear 2 sets of footsteps come into the living room. I turned my head to see my pale mother and two guys that were dressed like scientist.

"Who are these people mom?" I asked going into my self-defense mode, and stepping between them and my mom.

At 6'1 it was easy to intimidate people who are shorter than me.

One of the scientist took a step back, he looked like one of the younger ones of the two, the one who is about 60 years old simply looked at me and stayed calm.

"Cole, this is Mr.Regnery,"she said has she pointed to the older one.

"And this is Mr.Thornly." She said as she pointed to the Younger one.

After about ten minutes of everyone meeting the two guys we all sat down and started a 'nice' conversation, if you would call it back.

"How many children do you have Mrs. Wilson?" Regnery asked.

"Well I have two girls and a son." Mom said vary uneasily. This set me and dad off. We could sense each other trying our best not to shift and rip then to shreds. Sure I'm birds of prey, but I could pick the eyeballs out, right?

"Where is your other daughter?" Regnery asked. Just then Hazel walked through the doors.

"Kathy, I thought we were going for a trail ride?" Hazel asked with a puzzled look on her face.

"Oh ya you two should go do that." Mom said really quickly.

Her and Kathy walked out the door, and that was the day I thought I would never see them again.
