*Toxic's POV*

"Toxic! Wake up, the guys are fighting again" Grace exclaimed. I sighed and stood up, slipping my mask on. I threw my hair up into a messy bun and walked into the main room. Jet Star and Fun Ghoul were fighting while Kobra Kid was banging his head against the table.

I cleared my throat and all three of them turned to look at me. I raised and eyebrow and crossed my arms, tapping my foot against the ground. "As much as I would like to thank you for waking me up early" sense the sarcasm, "I would like to ask why you're at each other's throats at 7 in the morning" I said. It was silent and I sighed, shaking my head. "Whatever. Just, get ready to train in the next half hour or so" I replied, walking into my room. I brushed through my hair and put it into a high ponytail and I put on my converses while walking out of my room again.

Everything was quiet as I made my way to the booth. I sat down next to Kobra and my radio went off. "Toxic Radiation, everything okay?" My dad's voice rang out. "I guess. It's better than being in Battery City" I sighed. Kobra stared at me while I talked. I raised an eyebrow and he quickly turned away.

I hung up my radio and put my head on the table. Fun Ghoul walked out of his room and I stood up. "Let's go. Today we are going to work on shooting" I said.

Ghoul and Party groaned while Jet and Kobra were silent. I led the four childish adults to a shooting range nearby. "I'm hoping you know the basics?" I asked. "Yeah yeah. Point, aim, shoot." Jet said. "Show me what you guys got" I said.

Party seemed the most experienced, but Ghoul was 'struggling'. "Ghoul, shape up. I'm not dumb" I said. He smirked at me, but then got In the right position and shooting the dummy. I decided to shoot a few, as I was getting bored.

I looked at my watch and sighed. "We can either keep doing this or get a headstart for tomorrow?" I asked. "Wow, miss hot shot is giving us a choice?" Party said. "Don't test me" I growled. "What would you do, shorty?" He asked. I got close to his face and pushed him back. "I will break every bone from your body and feed your corpse to the vultures" I growled. He smirked and I glared at him. I fought the urge to use the ray gun in my hands and turned away. "You're not worth my time" I muttered.

"Anyways... can we get a headstart for tomorrow?" Kobra asked, releasing the awkward tension in the air. "Sure. We're going to be working on physical contact" I replied. "But why? We have Ray guns" Ghoul pointed out.

"If the enemy takes your weapon, you would need to have some sort of back up plan, am I correct?" I asked. They nodded. "This is your backup plan" I said.

*Time Skip*

When training was over, they were all exhausted. I rolled my eyes at how they stumbled into the diner, almost falling to the ground. "How did you not break a sweat?" Kobra asked. "I'm accustomed to this. I used to do wrestling, volleyball and track before all of this shit happened" I said, sighing at the memories.

I closed my eyes for a minute and shook my head. "Im going to take Grace back to Dr. D's. I'll be back. You know what, I don't trust any of you. You're coming with me" I said. They all followed me to my Trans Am and got in the back seats. They were unusually quiet, so I kept looking back at them. Kobra actually seemed content while the others looked uncomfortable. I chuckled and looked back at the road.

"Uhhh, Toxic?" Ghoul piped up. "Yeah? What's up?" I asked. "We have company" he said. I turned around and looked out of the back window. There were at least three BL/Ind cars. "Fucking hell" I mumbled. I threw my radio to Kobra. "Tell Dr. D that there are three BL/Ind cars in zone 6" I said. He nodded and pressed the button, telling Dr. D what I had just said. Dr. D came on the main radio and reported it.

I looked at Grace and she looked scared. "Gracie, we'll be alright. Has there ever been a time where you haven't been safe with me?" I asked the small child. She shook her head and I smiled at her.

I turned left instead of right, leading the unwanted company away from Dr. D's. All of a sudden, the song Warriors by Imagine Dragons came on and I smiled. Grace giggled and we started to scream the lyrics.

The guys looked confused. "Toxic, aren't you supposed to focus on that?" Kobra asked. "I know what I'm doing, so shut the fuck up" I said. I drove faster and once I was sure I lost the dracs, I turned right. The song ended and Grace was giggling. I smiled and drove to Dr. D's house.

When I parked behind a bush at headquarters, I got out and stretched. The six of us walked in the headquarters and Grace followed me into Dr. D's room. "Hey dad!" I said. "Hey pumpkin. You know, I was thinking... originally, I was only going to have you stay with the four for a month, but I think it would be better for you to stay with them for the rest of the time these wars are going on" he said. My smile dropped. He frowned and sighed. "I just think it would be better if you did it. I worry about you in Battery City. I mean, you're 17 for god's sake!" He said.

"Are you saying, you don't believe in me?" I asked quietly. His eyes widened. "No! Nothing like that!" He exclaimed. "Whatever" I muttered, walking out of the door and slamming it. I punched the wall and I felt my eyes glow.

The wall now had a hole in it and I cursed. "Toxic, are you okay?" A voice from behind me. "In fine Kobra. Just get to the car" I muttered. "But-" I cut him off. "Now" I said through gritted teeth.
