So, funny story, I wasn't at all planning on writing this. It's been barely a concept for nearly 3 years now, but I'm terrible at writing persuasive essays, and my friend is terrible at writing short stories, so we just switched English assignments. :))

I know, we're rebels right? So you would know how this story was completely unplanned. All I knew was that I wanted this to be a story about a girl who's been wanting to leave her town since she could remember, gets her drivers license and goes on like fifty epic road trips.

Clearly, that's not what happened. I suppose that if I were ever to actually write what I originally had in mind for this story, this would become the prologue book or something of the sorts.

I'm not saying I will write anything else, I quite enjoyed this short story as just that: a short story.

Frankly, this was only supposed to be 600 words long... Well, that word limit only lasted for about the first chapter. But it doesn't matter, I'm proud of what I've done.

In fact, this is a revisited version of the story. I wrote it when I was in grade 10, and I am now a first year college student. I'm taking a creative writing class and you can read more stories and poems that I wrote for that class in my story called 17/18. But anyways, this is the first full draft of the story that I'm actually proud of. And with my creative writing teacher, I am going to try and get this to be a legit novella. I'm going to rewrite and rewrite and rewrite until it's perfect, then submit it to get published? Hopefully? Even if it's not published, I'm going to want to get a printed copy for myself haha.

On that note, even though I will be rewriting this millions of times, it will never change within Wattpad. This will be the first draft and the first draft only. But I will definitely let everyone know when it's finally completed and maybe you can go give that a peek? ;)

I have actually made Poppy's escape playlist if anyone wanted to listen to it: https://open.spotify.com/user/angelcursed/playlist/1umLgS5YrHR9dQM5tF3X2M

And, that's all! You should know, I'm terrible at goodbyes. Anyways, this hopefully sparked my writing!
(Future me: it didn't )
