Frozen air made every breath like breathing needles as they pierced his lungs, lavender skies hung overhead turned golden from the glowing trees. His body lay in the cold waters of a disrupted forest.
The white faces of clouds hid the the moons silver light. This place is familiar. He looked up to see a girl with pale skin, a flowing white dress, and long brunette hair standing quietly. He remembered who she was- his love. She stood facing the violet mountains, she was crying.
Crimson red dripped down the back of her dress, staining it and his heart.
Yoru tried to move, to scream, to help. He couldn't.He shot up, shaking.
The next morning Kaida was gone from her chair. Yuro knew of no stops since the time he got on and no stops until he gets off.
Most of the passengers were still asleep and some had gone to the food cab. He assumed Kaida had gone up to eat along with the others. Or maybe she had left his part of the train in general.
Yuro got up and slowly made his way out of their seats. He tripped against Kaida's red back pack still laying against the bottom of her seat. At least she's still here.
He made his way to the food cab. The doors opened to a drafty room, the morning air was cold against his face but he was warm. The blanket helped him through the night, normally he wouldn't have fallen asleep.
Yoru drowsily made his way down the stairs of the train and into the next cab. He pulled open the door and was welcomed by sweet smells and warm air, the smell of fresh coffee invited him in.
