~•~•~•~●~•~•~•~"What's taking so long?" Jordan let out a groan. He's sitting sideways on a chair opposite mine.
We're currently in a waiting room. Two similar sofas face each other with a coffee table in the middle. A few other sofas are pushed to the back of the room, right in front of a wall. The room's lighting brightly lit Jordan's eyes. I need to stop looking at his eyes. I quickly move my gaze to the door behind Jordan, hoping it would open any second. I too, can't wait to get out of here.
I'd rather watch Teen Wolf all day.
"It's been two hours," I drawled adding another magazine to a stack next to me. I look around to find another one to read. I see nothing but newspapers. I groaned and leaned my head back, closing my eyes.
I can hear Jordan standing up, at that i open my eyes. I sit up straight, "That's it, I'm going to that meeting room." He declared, walking out of the room. He didn't even close the door.
Should I follow him? Nah.
I leaned back. My eyes scanning the empty room. Suddenly images filled my mind. The empty room starting to look like something out of a horror movie. I widen my eyes. I look around, paranoia fills me. I'm starting to think that something could suddenly appear from the empty space under the table or the turned off tv or ... the ceiling. At that, I didn't even dare to look up. I just stood up and bolted out of the room. I didn't even bother with closing the door of that horror room.
I walk in the hallways of the building. I walk faster when I saw a brunette leaning against a wall. Jordan's hair is tousled and his sleeves are rolled up. As always. "Don't even bother with trying to get it," he looks at me, "I've tried."
"What is it with this meeting?" I leaned and press my ear to the door.
"What are you doing?" He raised his eyebrows.
"What does it look like I'm doing?" I whisper-yelled at him. My ear is now filled with muffled voices.
"Can you hear anything useful?"
"Jordan and Alaska should bla bla," this is useless, i think they're not close enough to the door for me to hear them. I stood back up, "nothing."
"They really don't want us to mess up their plans, huh?" He rolled his eyes.
"There are other ways," I crossed my arms. "I mean, we could just say no to whatever their plan is." I shrugged.
He chuckled at this, "Babe, what makes you think we can decline?" What?
I furrow my eyebrows at his remark. A tight feeling in my chest.
He detached himself from the wall. "We're tied to a contract, you moron."
That one sentence made me rethink all that i've done.
"I should've said no in the first place," i mumbled, regretting my decision.
"Actually, you probably couldn't do that either." He shrugs.
"What?" I said confused.
"If you didn't end up agreeing that time, your management would probably threaten to fire you," he explained. "Maybe that time they were saving it as a last resort."
I don't even have a voice in this. My mind wonders to what my life's going to be like. What if they decided to extend the stunt? Something pops out in my head.
I look up. "I bet they never did that to you. You look like you couldn't care less." I threw a hand up in the air.
He smiled at this. "They once tried to fire me because I tried to say no," he shrugs, "I had a girlfriend at the time. A girl I actually liked."
Jordan is a guy that I see having flings with a bunch of girls. He's like the jock everybody loves in highschool. I never really thought he's the type to seriously date, like, a serious relationship.
"That's messed up." I stated. Who's the girl though? Everything I know about him are from probably-scripted talk shows, magazine articles. It's sad how the public might never know who the real Jordan is.
"Yeah," he nodded.
