Tough Love

Investigation

I woke up then next morning stuck in a hospital bed.
"Huh....where am I, what fruitloops happened". The door opened to reveal a doctor holding a clipboard.
"Hello Miss Chambers, how are you feeling?"
"I'm good......Question, what am I doing here?"
"Oh....a police office was called to your house because a neighbour heard yelling etc. So they investigated the house and found your mother dead but know traces of the killer, do you know who did it?"
"Um......it was Jax's dad, he's a drug dealer and my mum took drugs". I start to tear up.
"Um....can I please see Jax?"
"No Miss, he's not awake yet.....but you have a visitor, I'll let her in now". Elise.

She walked in and gave me a long hug.
"Are you ok, ok course your not ok why am I even asking that, I'm so sorry for what I said to you, I was just being stupid and I let my best friend go"
"I'm ok, I guess and I forgive you and I regret letting you go too". She hugged me then grabbed a chair and sat next to me. The doctor walked back in.
"Miss Everleigh, visiting time is over you may leave now". Elise got up and gave me one last hug then left.
"Miss Chambers we have an investigator coming on to talk to you if that's ok"
"Um......yeah of course but is Jax awake yet?"
"Great, and he is awake but he is very unstable because of the blows he got". I slowly get out of bed and head to his room, every step I took was never ending pain but I got through it, I opened the door to his room and slowly ran towards his bed.
"Hey baby, how do you feel" he said
"I'm ok, a bit sore but I can manage it and what about you, you mostly have stitches all over your face".the door opened and the investigator walked in.

"So I'm going to ask you both some questions, ok"
"Ok" we said at the same time.
"So first question, do you know the man that kill Miss Chambers mother?". Jax sat up and slung one arm around my shoulder.
"Um......it was my father sir"
"Ok, second question, do you know where he would be right now". I still sat there in silence not wanting to say anything, I rested my head on Jax's shoulder and closed my eyes.
"He might be in the bad part of town I think"
"Great, last question, what was his motive to kill you miss Chambers?" I sat up and slowly opened my eyes.
"My mother bought drugs from him and never paid him back, sir"
"Ok, thanks for your time you two hope everything goes well" and with that he left.
