The next week Jay felt like he was on top of the world. He had a great day at school. The winter dance was coming up soon. That week he sat by Jenn at lunch. He got to know her and she did the same. Jay got a idea. He was going to ask Jenn to the winter dance. How he was going to do it he didn't have a clue. When he got home that night his sister had dinner cooked, and she is a very good cook. while they was eating he asked Hallie how is you and your boyfriend. She said what boyfriend I don't have one. Jay says sis I am young but I am not stupid. She says how did you find out. He replies I am not a cheerleader but I am pretty dang sure practice is over at six o clock you don't get home until eight o clock. Hallie says OK you are right I hang out with my boyfriend after practice hope that OK. Jay replies yea sis it is fine just stay out of trouble OK. Hallie replies OK Jay i will stay out of trouble. Are you going to the Winter Dance with him? She replies back I believe so. Jay says OK. Hey sis I am thinking about asking the new girl Jenn to the dance, but I don't know how to ask her. She replies well bubba be romantic with it with roses and stuff. OK! I will says Jay. Go take a shower and get ready for bed sis OK. she replies OK bubba. Jay say thanks for dinner by the way. No problem bubba. They go to bed. Now it is about a month from the winter dance. Jay got the idea to get a whole bunch of roses for Jenn with a note that says: hey babygirl i don't know if i told ya or not but i really like you and would love to be your boyfriend and take you to the winter dance Jay. When Jay gave her the roses at lunch in front of everybody she read the note and her face got so red  yes I would love to be your girlfriend and go to the winter dance with you Jenn said. She was so happy she was literally jumping up and down. Everyone in the lunch room said awe that is so sweet. Jay had no clue where the night of the dance was going to take them but he knew it would be fun. That night he went to Marcus's house and told him what happen. Marcus replied good for you bro. You can not tell her about you being a hunter though until you know you can trust her one hundred percent. Yea I know that bro I am not that stupid. OK suit up bro i am tracking a vamp right now so get your stuff and lets go. Yes sir Jay says. Jay goes home and gets his stuff and heads out the door.
