Death and her lover
Cold that was all I could feel I don't know how it happened one minute I'm walking across the street the next I'm here "good evening young man" I turned the see a beautiful woman she had a hourglass figure long white hair reaching down to her middle back a skull painted on her face her clothing consistent of a long black dress high heels and a diamond skull neckless but the most a louring feature was her eyes the were as black as the night "what who where." I began to panic She chuckled it was beautiful and it made what left of what was left of made my heart skip a beat "to answer you questions your dead and I'm death and your in purgatory" light laughter still evident in her voice when she said purgatory I took a look around the world looked like a post apocalyptic city plants and building constantly decaying and reforming "hey underworld to nooby!" The woman now know as death said while snapping her fingers in my face causing me to jump back "So what's your name?" Death asked "um Alex" I replied my voice shaking "so how did I die?" trying to wrap my head around the situation her face morphed from a smile to a look of concern "are you sure you want to know most people lose their minds after they find out how they died?" I thought for a second before answering"yes"I simply replied "well Alex you were struck by a speeding truck punched your lungs shattered you ribs and cracked your skull" a immense amount of pain washed over me my chest I struggled breathing I then proceeded to through up a large amount of blood. My sight became blurry till my vision went black
3 hours later
Deaths POV
I sighed " I can't believe I forgot that " I thought to myself i looked down at Alex as he lay on my lap looked so peaceful almost like he was dead I chuckled to myself at the thought in his unconscious state I managed to get a good look at him he was a fairly tanned man A scar ran down his eye brow he wore a black suit a white business shirt and a black tie "well guess I should wake him up" I raised my hand a SLAP right across Alex's face his eyes shot open and he jumped up and screamed while I just sat there holding my sides laughing I then began to regain my composure I said "I'm sorry Alex I should have told you" I looked in to his eyes his beautiful brown eyes "told me what?"
He hissed "when a soul discovers how they died any and all pain will return from the event of their death" I explained.
Alex POV
"So deaths a woman" I joked attempting to change the subject and she laughed oh god it was beautiful "well yes and no I prefer this form to my real form it makes it much easier to talk to any souls or traverse the mortal world believe me I tried once in my real form a couple millennia ago and It didn't end well" she chuckled "can I see it?" I asked her deaths face dropped "no you can't and before you ask why if I do it will kill you" she deadpanned "but I'm already dead now please show me" I whined death then sighed "let me re fraze it will completely destroy you soul" lady death said I then replied with the most intelligent thing "oh" "anyway why are you here" lady death asked
I gave her a confused look before replying "I'm dead remember" lady death face palmed "no smartass why are you in purgatory" I gave her another confused look before saying "how should I know I'm not the mistress of death am I"
She didn't look happy with my answer placing her hands on her hips she snapped at me "don't get sarcastic with me jackass you have unfinished business back in the mortal world so any idea what is it" I stood there and thought for a minute before answering "where to start I was left at the alter never had a really job or a family my old man was a drunk my mum was a stripper or my music career never kicked off so mi'lady any ideas" I asked she was quite for a few seconds before answering "yes I think your insane" she joked i hope "how am I insane!?" I yelled "well not only are you dead your yelling a death herself and you have somehow not lost your mind" she deadpanned "ok fair point" I said "but seriously I'm not sure your life was as the mortals say shit" she joked "gee thanks" I sighed "so let's go" lady death said as she started to walk off "hey where are we going?!" I yelled chasing after her

As me and Alex walked through my little circle of hell I began to think back on meeting Alex I've met many mortals in my immortal life but none of them have made me feel like this before it feels so warm so fuzzy this mortal is different
