Chapter 12: Centaur and the Sneak

   A week after we had returned I heard Umbitch was throwing the Divination teacher out. I never had patience for seeing the future, but I felt sorry for the woman.

Albus came in saying that he appointed a new teacher and pointed to a centuar.

Later that night, I excused myself from the DA meeting early to tell Umbridge the first meeting of Potters illegal study group had just started.

Umbitch dragged me there and murmered, "bombarda maxina." She blew the wall out exposing all the friends who were learning from Harry.

Malfoy pulled me into the spotlight kissing me and relished the angered expression on Harry's face.

The whole DA was taken to Albus' office. There Albus admitted he was the one behind the meetings. I silenced Harry before he could protest, and Albus vanished with help of Fawkes.

On our way out Fudge extended a hand to me, "well done Miss Abott! You could work for the ministry one day. Dolores told me how you found out about Potters dangerous gang!"

"Your welcome Minister, I'm glad to help." I said smiling.

I returned to the common room to find the where the whole  house is shunning me. "Hello everyone." I said dispute the daggers thrown at me.

"How could you Sarah?!" Harry exclaimed plunging the common room into silence.

"Harry I begged you over and over to remember your promise. It's obvious you forgot it." I snapped leaving the common room for the Owlery.

I took out some parchment and wrote,

Dear Sirius,

Harry and I have become more distant in the recent days. I'm keeping him out of trouble, but he only gets angry at me. Is there a way to talk face to face? I hope your well.

I tied the letter to Cyril and sent him on his way. "Fly as fast as you can!"

Cyril hooted nipping my finger gently before flying off.  I sighed, leaving the Owlery to find Malfoy.

"Evens! Is your whole house sending you daggers?"

I nodded, "they don't appreciate me."

"Obviously not, your doing what's best for them right?" Malfoy asked pulling me into a kiss.

A couple days had passed, I was still waiting on Sirius' letter and I was becoming restless.

On the fourth day at breakfast, Cyril returned with a large square package. He was followed behind delivering an identical package to Harry.

I ran out of the Hall to my dorm to open it. His note was short and simple.

This is a two way mirror, I have one eye and you have the other. Just say my name and I'll appear in yours as you appear in mine. Call me when you get this.

I set the note down to pick up the mirror. "Sirius Black" I called. Seconds later, his short black haired and laughing face appeared.

"Sarah, are you ok? I got worried when you last wrote. Tell me everything." Sirius said urgently.

I told him about dating Malfoy, joining Umbridges side and about breaking into her office.

"Why did you do that?!" Sirius frowned.

"She was gonna use her blood quill on my twin! I couldn't let that happen! She let me oversee his detentions and Professor Snape appointed me to teach him Occulamency. I made him promise to trust me no matter what, but he's obviously forgetting his promise." I sighed heavily.

"He's been too distracted by your behavior changes. I'll talk to him." Sirius replied clicking off.

I sighed again. Harry will never trust me, until I reveal everything. Sev just had to make me my twins protector after him.

I came down to the common room to find Harry scowling at his mirror. He looked up to find me staring at him.

"Sorry, tonight we will have another Occulamency lesson. You better be practicing." I said sternly.

I left the room to head to my first class, then used the time turner for my second one. On the third turn, I set my watch for an hour so I could catch up on sleep.
