It's too often that I see
How our world has come to be
In my eyes, the very least,
It's engulfed by a dark mist
A grim omen, drawing near
To leave nothing, but just fearI feel as from long ago
When I'm told the way things go
A being from age of old
With no purpose in this world
Just forgotten here, alone
To try to this world atoneBut to my own surprise
Something new would come to rise
A single person would see
Just how lonely I could be
And unexpectedly try
To always be nearbyEven I thought it insane
To think it won't be their bane
But by some odd mystery
Or perhaps by destiny
They wouldn't wilt, but thrive
Every time I would arriveNow, after seeing it through,
One certainty I tell you:
Not the things most would not do
But the ones one would for you
In which they would put their heart
To never be from you apart
Those are truly great in life
So keep them away from strife.
