"Hey Rose!"
I slowed my pace so my bestfriend could catch up to me.
"Oh my God, Rose...you need to...walk...slower." Addy put her hand on her knees and breathed heavily.
"I wasn't walking that fast, Addy, you need to get into shape."
Addy is 5'8 with beautiful flowing blonde hair and bright baby blue eyes. When she was in 7th grade she severely bullied, so she put on some weight that she hasn't been able to lose.
"I've been trying, R, but its harder than it looks." She blushed.
I rolled my eyes and started walking again.
"Are you still on for tonight?" She matched my pace.
"Yeah, I'll be over around six." I stepped around two sophomores throwing the ball back in fourth.
"Ok, cool, cya later." Addy ran ahead into her Bio class, but stopped at the door to wink at me.
Smiling I made it to my locker and grabbed my Trig textbook.
"Hey, Rosey posey."
I shut my eyes and clench my fist, letting out a sigh on the inside.
"What do you want Josh?" I said with a completely bored tone
Josh Brunswick, Jock, charmer, and my ex.
I shut my locker and turn to face him.
He is six feet and one inch of complete boyish looks and bull shit.
"Rose are you going to be mad at me forever?"
I put my thumb and forefinger on my chin and pretend to think about it.
"Um, yeah, pretty much." I move to step around him, but he cuts me off.
"Come on, you're my girl--"
"I used to be your girl, not anymore."
I shove him lightly and step around him.
"You're going to regret this, Rose Bradley!"
He shouts when I'm halfway up the hall.
I flip him off and turn right into my Trig class.

The streets were dark when I was heading over to Addys after I finished my homework at school. My parents live in upstate New York. I live more in the suburbs of New York. So I live with Addy and her Grandmother, Margaret.
Margaret was so nice taking me in when my parents kicked me out and moved away.
Since then Margaret has treated me like a second granddaughter.
A rustling threw out of my thoughts. I stop and look around, but there's nothing.
I start walking again, when I see a shadow following me, but soon a cat comes into view and runs past me.
I let out a sigh.
A hand grabbed my mouth and my waist and pulled me into the bushes, my scream muffled.
The person threw me to the ground, and scratched my collar bone in the process.
Tears were started running down my cheeks.
The figure pulled out a pocket knife and held it up to my neck.
It was pitch black outside and I couldn't make out any facial features exact the eyes, Bright orbs of blue.
I could tell it was a male by the body figure of the shadow.
"Stop trying to memorise my face, you won't live to see tomorrow." He spoke with an accent.
"What do you want with me? I just want to go home!" I cried.
I felt a sharp sting across my cheek.
"Stop crying!" He shouted.
He took the knife away, and grabbed me by my neck and lifted me up.
"Please...let me go." I choked out.
His face got to close to my face that I could make out smoke and...a flower.
"Hey!" a bright light shined through the trees and bushes.
"Help..." I look back to the person...that I couldn't see?
I dropped to the ground in a coughing fit and the person with the bright light came running towards the source of the noise. It was Josh. The guy who held me by my throats had vanished, but I knew he wasn't done with me, but I knew what he wanted with me.
