It was a nice sunny day at the barn, Lapis and Peridot were preparing for Steven's visit in the afternoon.
Lapis saw Peridot having trouble with her machines Lapis asked "do you need any help?" "no" Peridot replied "i can manage just fine, thank you for your concern" Lapis smiled and continued decorating the barn.
A few hours have passed and Lapis and Peridot watch their favorite show while they wait for Steven's arrival, Peridot catches a glimpse of Steven riding his big pink lion. Lapis and Peridot yelled with joy "Steven! You're here!" Steven replied "of course! I never break my promises" both Lapis and Peridot smile.
They all head into the barn and showed Steven what they have done with the place "wow it looks way better than the last time i came" Steven said in amazement.
Peridot notices that Lapis is standing next to the pile of paint buckets, she notices that they're going to fall on top of her Peridot yells "Lapis watch out!!" Peridot pounces at Lapis and has her pinned to the floor while all the paint cans fall, Lapis notices that Peridot is on top of her and blushes bright red Peridot yells in panic and embarrassment "Oh my gosh i am so sorry Lapis! It was an accident i swear!" Lapis replied "its ok Peridot accidents happen don't worry ok?" Peridot nods and begins to blush a bit.
After a few minutes of awkwardness Peridot stays inside the barn and hides her blushing face, Lapis flies off and sits on the tractor and hugs her knees. Steven is concerned so he goes to Peridot and sits next to her and asks Peridot "hey Peridot is everything ok?"
Peridot answers "i dont know Steven, i loved her for so long i don't know if i should tell her or not, i made things really awkward when i tried to save her." Steven looks at Peridot and tells her "hey its ok don't worry, you did whats best by trying to save her. If you want i can talk to Lapis" Peridot smiles and hugs Steven "thank you so much Steven!"
Steven walks out the barn and heads where Lapis is at, Steven tries to get up on the tractor and ask Lapis "hey um..Lapis she didn't do it on purpose" Lapis answers "i know Steven but she doesn't know that i have feelings for her i just don't know what to do"
Steven thinks and has an idea "Lapis come with me" Lapis nods and Steven takes her inside the barn where Peridot is hiding, Steven clears his throat "hey Peridot someone is here to see you"
Peridot stands up and walks over to Lapis they both look at each other with blushing faces. Both of them yellbat the same time "I love you!" they both look at each other in shock as they get closer together, Peridot begins to hold Lapis hand and Lapis kisses Peridot directly on the lips. Steven smiles and happiness and says "you guys never believed it but you really have a lot in common, you both love each other so much that you protect each other no matter what" Peridot smiles and says "Steven is right, i will always protect you Lapis" Lapis smiles and replies "and i will always protect you too"
