I can't believe I'm leaving sunny California for a small town in Alabama. I really don't want to go but the plane is already landing. My sister, Lucy, and I are staying with our grandparents for the next 2 years! Since school just started back I'm going to the high school and Lucy will go to the Elementary school. We get off the plane and the heat hits us hard. It's hot in California but not this hot! As soon as we get into the building we see our grandma. We run up and hug her and with tears in her eyes she says " Wow, a lot can happen in 3 years!" Then we walk to the car. We hop in and we're on our way to our new home. I turn on the radio but there is nothing but country music! After what seems like hours we finally get there. It's a BIG white house with pillars on the outside. We walk in and we are greeted by our grandpa. " Nice to see you again Clover! And you too Lucy!" Clover is the nickname he gave me when I was just a kid. To be honest I hate it but it makes him happy so I just go with it. Since this house is so big we each get our own rooms. I like this idea cuz back in California we had to share a room. Just imagine it, a 15 year old teenager sharing a room with a nosy 9 year old! It sounds ridiculous to me but I had to live with it for 4 years. I walk in my room and it's HUGE!!! " This place is amazing, Nanna!" I say. It has white ruffled curtains, a queen size bed with a floral purple quilt, dressers, a vanity, MY OWN BATHROOM, and a flat screen!!!!!! I set my suitcase on the bed and start unpacking. I only brought a few clothes since my parents gave me $2,000 to buy new ones to keep here for me and Lucy. After that I decide to go to bed. It's pretty late and tomorrow I start going to school here. I'm not the least bit excited but I think Lucy is because all she could talk about on the plane was going to a new school. As soon as I hit the soft bed and get under the covers a fall right to sleep. I'm going to dread tomorrow.😒
