"So I'm dead?"
"Kind of."
"What the hell do you mean, kind of?!"
Yes, this conversation did really happen. I'm the confused, frazzled, kind-of-dead one with a million questions. The other one is Marl, my acquaintance who has become my ally. This conversation took place only 3 months ago. Well, technically, 3 months and about 100 years worth of time travel. It hasn't even been that long, but since that memorable conversation, I have 'died,' been to the future, become a double agent against a powerful organization that can control death, been informed of their mission and my place in it but not their motives, and learned how to read wishes. So basically, my life has been turned upside down. But I suppose you would prefer if I started from the beginning, wouldn't you? In that case, I'll start from the oh-so-familiar place where it all began: study hall.
