The Lost Soul

The Beginning 1948

               It was a stormy night when I was dropped off with the Kilmons. I knew they thought I would have been a burden. They said they would take care of me, I knew better than that. I had heard the rumors of the Kilmons ever since I could understand English. Some said they were murderers, some said they stole, I was the only one who found out the truth about them. I knew they were from out of town but I didn't know it was from this far out. They were from Killmoon Island. They were King and Queen Killmoon. Kilmon was just their disguising name. I worked it out, I saw the puzzle pieces line up, they showed numerous signs without even knowing it. If they had fixed up my room better, I would have never known. The only way I found out was through the vents. In every room in that house, there was a ventilation system. I got my pocket knife from under my wardrobe, unfolded it, and unscrewed the screws to the vent behind my wardrobe. They were approximately 2 feet by 2 feet. I had a pretty good time squeezing through them at night just to hear Mr. and Mrs. Kilmon talk about their secret. They sometimes heard him in the vents. The exterminators have been their multiple times, each found nothing. He heard them talking about trying to enslave him and make him a servant for their personal uses. Other times he heard keywords like "Hadroig," a man that was said to be the most powerful assassin on the island. Or every once in a while he would hear," What if he finds out?" I would always get to my room right before they came bursting in to confront me.

               Another way I found out was because they would get letters from their friends and family that stayed on Killmoon Island. Now that I know the truth I will take everyone down that gets in my way to get the assurance I need. The only reason I'm living here is that my mother and father "abandoned" me. I knew the king had them executed. I can feel it when they say my mother or fathers name. It doesn't matter how many times they try to convince me I act like I believe them and walk on.
