Jacquees POV
I sat in the back of the classroom talking to Cyrus, when Ms. Karin told everyone to settle down.
" As you know class, today I am assigning you a partner for the lab project. As of now , this will be your partner for the rest of the year. "
Then she starts to call the partners, " Diamond with Rayan, Cyrus with Jordyn."
She continues to say the rest of the names and finally gets to me, " Jacquees and Yn"
" Who's Yn?" I ask.
Ms. Karin points to her and I look at her in shock that she's the girl from lunch.
Yn's POV
I look over at the boy who asked what my name was. When I saw who it was,I rolled my eyes and I mentally made a note to ask Ms. Karin for another partner.
" Please take a seat next to your partner and I'll pass a paper out to you all." She says.
I quickly walk up to her desk and ask is there a way to get a new partner.
" Sorry Yn, everyone is paired up and my decisions are final. Now please go and join your partner at his desk." She tells me.
I huff my breath and grab my stuff from my table and drag my feet to him.
" Wassup Ma?" He said trying to make conversation.
" Okay, let's get something straight. I ain't yo friend. We will work on the assignment. There will also be NO TALKING. Lastly, don't ever call me "Ma" again in yo life. I'm happily a virgin and I ain't ya momma. Okay?" I said.
He nodded his head in concentration as if he was trying to figure something out. I grabbed the paper off the desk and looked for the information we needed to start the project.
" You sure you wanna start wit me girl? I'll end up hurting yo feelings." He says.
I look at him and say, " Negro, shut the hell up or I'll shut yo mouth for you. It ain't that hard." Then I turn my head back to my laptop.
Jordyn POV
I sit watching Yn, arguing with Jacquees. My partner Cyrus is cool and I can't help but think that we've met before. We finished our work awhile ago so we were just talking.
" You think something happened between them that would make them argue that much?" I ask.
" Actually yeah. She was mad at him for jumping in front of her in the lunch line and she was PISSED. I can tell that girl don't play about her food. It's probably just something she values though." He explains.
" Yeah, she really doesn't" I laugh, " I spent the night at her house one time and her momma made breakfast that morning. I went to touch the bacon on her plate and she literally snapped her fucking teeth at me boy! I was hella dead."
He laughs and then we here the bell ring signaling it was time for lunch. I never went to lunch but I'll go just this one time.
Before I fully left the classroom, I heard Ms.Karin ask Yn and Jacquees to stay back.
Jacquees POV
" I don't want you all to arguing anymore. If I see it again, you be partners until you graduate and I'll make sure of it. Get out of my class and y'all better have it together on Monday." She stops for a moment then says, " Go over each other's house. Maybe that will help you all get over yourselves. And I want your parents to write an email saying you all went over there. I'll send an email to them now. " She says.
" I prefer you send it to my mom, my dad will be angry if you interrupted him at his job, even with an email." Yn says.
"Me too, if you don't mind?" I ask following pursuit.
She shoos us out of her classroom and as we get into the hallway, Yn hits me in the back of my head.
I grab her hands, push her against the lockers and say, " You must want me to get angry?" I say. " I'll fuck you up in this hallway lil girl."
I let go of her hands and leave her behind as she still leans on the lockers. She then starts to follow me to the lunchroom.
I could tell this girl was going to be a handful, but we were going to be good friends.
Later That Night ( make bold )
Yn POV
I wake out of my sleep and look over at my clock to see what time it is. The clock read 3:17 AM, and I hooped myself out of bed and went towards the noise in my parents room.
" YOU ARENT LEAVING ME!"
" LIKE HELL I AIN'T! I'm taking my daughter too! " I heard my mom say.
I jumped away from the door when I heard a crash. I quickly ran back to my bed and hopped under the covers. I had hoped that nothing had happened to my mother.
I grabbed my phone off the nightstand and dialed 911 . When they picked up the phone, I frantically started talking quickly. When the operator got me to calm I told her I thought someone was hurt and they needed to hurry. Once I got off the phone, I slowly got off the bed and went back to the door.
I didn't hear anything , so I decided to make a bold move and own the door. When the door opened, there was enough blood in the room to make you believe there was an animal in here.
I looked over in the corner where my mother was, and stared at her. She was shaking and crying, only saying " I hate you " multiple times over.
" ITS THE POLICE OPEN UP!"
I looked outside on the porch and quickly ushered them in and closed the door.
" My mother is upstairs with my deceased father. "
As they went upstairs they panicked and brought her into custody. When I arrived at the police station, they told me that she needed to be taken to a psychiatric hospital.
