When you had first met Castiel, the first thing you couldn't help but notice was the crystal blueness that is his eyes. After a while you had realized that the body, the eyes he possessed wasn't his, it belonged to Jimmy Novak. It didn't change how you felt about those blue eyes, nor Cass. It was the way Castiel treated the body he was in, with such grace, that really mesmerized you.
You had seen everything through his eyes, the good, the bad, and the ugly. You had seen inner and outer battles, apocalypses, lust, love, peace, hurt, lies, and the life fade away, all deep inside his ocean blue eyes. You knew his eyes inside and out.

Those ocean eyes
His eyes were your weakness, and it was obvious to anyone you ever met. Whenever you had gotten into arguments with Cass, he would do something, something with his eyes, and with the way he would say something, it would break you down, or build you back up again.
He also used his eyes to calm you down, or reassure you when times got tough. And you always believed him, not caring about the actual truth if it could mean that you got to see those blue eyes for another day.
I've been walking through
A world gone blind

Careful creature made friends with time
He left her lonely with a diamond mind
And those ocean eyes
Whenever Cass had to leave, to do some business on his own, you were left to just think of him the entire time, counting up the seconds until he came back. Cass deserves more credit than he is given, when you think about it. He has fought harder and more persistent than anyone you've ever known. And finding Sam and Dean helped him live up to the potential deep within him, the same with you. Those Winchesters are life changing.
And when those blue eyes would return searching for you, you would run into the owner's arms and embrace his body tight. Cass was unfamiliar with hugs, but when he became human once, he finally understood the importance. And every time he hugs you back, no matter the circumstances he is in; because truth is, he would never intentionally leave you for good, he wouldn't be able to, it would break your soul; and you never know which hug will be your last.
