In a world where perfect was the standard, there wasn't much room for error. You either fit the bill, or you didn't fit at all.
So, what really happens when there's a glitch in this 'perfect' society?
In this adrenaline-packed story, individuals...
Utopia, a picture-perfect society of wealth, prosperity, and peace. One in which every family is perfect - a father, a mother, and a child. One in which there are just enough jobs to go around and salaries are just right for each family. Everything seemed to be just right, and the people who run Utopia, The Appointed, make sure there is no exception to that.
Sounds great doesn't it? It is, it definitely is. However, what The Appointed doesn't discuss is the Imperfect. A select few families torn by dispute, living off nothing, and turned away by our Utopian society to fend for themselves.
We're taught very young to simply shut them out and carry on with our flawless, pre-planned lives. As long as we're not affected, why burden ourselves with their misfortune?
There was one thing, however, that was unclear to the world around me. Something that created a divide amongst our community - the Imperfect were closer than we thought...and I was one of them.
