I gazed out my cabs window as beautifully lit buildings pass, a small smile graced my lips. Ah, Ikebukuro, home sweet home. Shame I have to be here upon such sad news. I sigh as we pause at a red light, my eyes peer through the glass once more, noticing quite a commotion across the street. My smile only widens as memories flood my mind.

"I think I'll get out here, thank you for your service," I pay the man and exit the vehicle to gather my belongings from the trunk.

There wasn't much to grab as the rest of my things were already at my new apartment. I drag the suitcase on its wheels, walking towards the noisy crowd. Pushing my way through, while minding my manners, I finally sit in front of the crowd. My eyes widen, only for a moment, seeing what all the noise was about. A man with blonde hair attacking a raven-hair man, strangely the blonde held a vending machine with ease above his head. Of course, I instantly recognize the blonde as Shizuo Heiwajima; an old friend.

Deciding it better not to disrupt with words and save it for another day, I leave the pair to their bickering. I check the time on my watch, reading 8: 30 PM. A sigh escaped my lips, it's late and I don't have groceries. My [E/C] orbs landed upon a very large man, his Russian accent putting some struggle on his Japanese.

I smile, "Privet, ty rabotayesh' na eto mesto sushi? Eto khorosho?" *

The man turned and glared for a moment before smiling kindly, "Da da! Ochen' khorosho, davay yest'!"*

I nodded and thanked the man before entering the sushi shop. My smile never fades as I inhale the shop's scent. I took a seat at the counter, the tall man followed and stood behind the counter. He asked what I'd like, of course I got some fatty tuna. Sushi isn't my favorite; however, it was plenty good. I started a conversation with the man, learning his name and what days the shop had deals.

I got curious and asked, "Vy znayete cheloveka po imeni Shizuo Kheyvadzhima? Gde ya mogu nayti yego?"*

Simon's smile faded for only a second, "Pochemu ty spravshivayesh'?"*

Chuckling, I smiled, "On moy staryy drug. My vmeste khodili v shkolu."*

Simon nodded with a kind yet serious smile, "Vy mozhete nayti yego pochti gde ugodno, prosto sledite."*

I nodded and finished my tuna, I thanked Simon and paid for my food. Leaving, I get a phone call from my grandmother, of course I answered.

"Hey abuela, everything okay? That's good, yes, I'm in town. I am shopping tomorrow, I see. Good night, love you." I sigh as I put my phone in my purse.

Making my way up the stairs to my apartment, I begin to feel anxious; as though I'm being watched. Though I shrug it off and enter my new home. I breathe in only to cough, this place needs some dusting or some air freshener, ugh.

I close the door and set my purse on the counter. Walking around the place I decide to open a window, I'm on the second floor, who could get in from there? I sigh, knowing I have a lot of work to do tomorrow. With no current furniture, I lay a blanket on the cold ground. I change into some shorts and a tee shirt, using a sheet for a blanket. With that, I fell asleep rather peacefully.

Opening my eyes, I look at my phone. 7:46 AM, I groan and sit up. Gathering an outfit for today, I head out, making sure to lock my door. I struggle to find my way but after an hour or so, I finally made it to a furniture shop. Humming, I grab a large cart and make my way around the surprisingly cozy shop. After spending a god three hours, I finished picking out my basic furniture needs. Before leaving I made sure to ask the shop's owner about a job opening here.

I carry a box of smaller, decorative items as I head home. I realize my door was unlocked, narrowing my eyes I set down my newly bought items and put a key between eat of my fingers; ready if I need to fight. Entering the apartment, no one was there, only a note and a small bouquet of flowers. I pick up the note, it read; Greetings [N/N]-Chan! Glad to see you home after so long apart, welcome back.

I furrowed my brows, no one's called me that in years and how'd they get in? Who was this person? Questions invaded my mind; I shook them off and finished what I came home to do before leaving the home once again. My nerves have yet to calm so I decided to get an early lunch, seeing as though it was currently 11:15 Am. A small smile appeared on my lips as I entered an old, familiar café. I ordered [F/D] and a small cake (if you don't like cake you can change it).

My eyes smiled with my lips as a memory came to mind, a memory that involved this very café.

~

"IZAYAAAAAAAAA!" The blonde growled as he tore a street lamp from its place in the ground before swinging it at the raven-hair boy.

"Haha! Oh come on, surely you can do better Shizu-Chan!~" The raven-hair boy cooed, only angering the blonde more.

A small girl intervened, getting between the two, "Shizuo, come on. Don't destroy any more public property, please stop. You're drawing a lot of attention," She smiled, hoping her friend would put down the lamp post.

He indeed, put down the lamp and growled. The girl smiled and told the blonde to wait for her inside. She made her way to the raven-hair boy, a frown on her lips.

"Why do you always have to upset him, Izaya? You said he was boring, so why continue?" She huffed.

"Maybe it's not him I'm after," the boy smirked before turning and leaving, "Well, maybe next time-"

~

The sound of screaming pulled me from my thoughts. I looked out the window to see the same pair from last night, back at it in the streets. I sighed, "Boys....ruining such a calm moment."

I paid for my food and grabbed my purse, leaving the café. A frown was clear on my lips, today was not the day for this chaos. I needed to get to the other side of the street; however, the fighting duo and crowd was in my way. I pushed past the crowded and sighed, I casually walked between the pair. Shizuo paused, holding a trash can above his head, the raven-hair man giving me a curious look. I had places to be and no one was going to get in my way, the raven-haired man grabbed my arm.

"Surely you wouldn't hurt a woman, Shizu-Chan~" He smirked.

My frown only deepened, "I have got somewhere to be, let me go."

"But the fun has only just begun!" He laughed.

I elbowed the man in the ribs and grabbed his shirt. I threw him to the ground, "Touch me again and I'll do far worse. Geez, Shizuo and you haven't changed Izaya." I left the circle and entered the store.

Upset that my reunion with old friends didn't go as planned, I held my angry expression. Funny I used a move Izaya taught me on him. I chuckled softly, only for my smile to fade. We used to be good friends, now I don't even want to look at either of them at the moment. I finished up my grocery shopping and headed home. Unlocking the door and walking in I set my groceries on the counter.

"Hello [N/N]-Chan, long time no see."

*"Hello, do you work for this sushi shop? Is it good?"

*"Yes Yes! Very good, come eat!"

*"Do you know a man named Shizuo Heiwajima? Where can I find him?"

*"Why do you ask?"

*"He's an old friend, we went to school together."

*"You can find him anywhere, just keep an eye out."
