Trolls: Buttercup's Help

Part 3

 "Feel that hot blood in my body, when it drops oooh!" Sang Poppy. "Can't take my eyes of off it, moving so phenomenally!" I sang. "Do you girls have to sing?!"

"But we always sing in a good mood!" Poppy and I said. "Do you girls have to be in a good mood?!"

"Why won't I? I'm going to see my friends tomorrow! Oooh! I wonder what they're doing right now!" Asked Poppy. "Probably getting digested." Branch said. "Branch, they're alive. I know it." Poppy replied. "You don't know anything! I also can't wait to see the look on your face when you realize that the world isn't all cupcakes and Rainbows." Branch said, jazz handing. "Bad things happen. And there's nothing you can do about it."

"Hey. I know the world isn't all cupcakes and rainbows. But I'd rather go through life thinking that it is than being like you."

"You don't sing, you don't dance, so gray all the time!" I said, annoyed. "What happened to you-" Poppy was cut off from Branch say shh. "A Bergen?" Poppy asked. "Maybe." Branch whispered. Poppy looked around. "There is no Bergen is there?" I piped up. "You just said that so we'd stop talking!"

"Maybe." Branch whispered and went ahead. Poppy rolled her eyes. We walked for a long time and camped for the night. We had our sleep bags we had. Then we lied on the sleeping bags and slept. Poppy wasn't able to sleep so she sat up. "Stars shining above you." She sang. "Seriously? More singing?" Branch asked. "Yes seriously! Singing helps me relax. Maybe you ought to try it." Poppy replied. "I don't sing. I don't relax. This is the way I am. And I like it-"

"For once, he's right, Poppy. I'm tired..." I cut in. "And I'd also like a little silence!" Branch finished and went to sleep. "That reminds me of a song!" I whispered to Poppy. "Me too!" She whispered back. She took out an instrument and we began to sing as more creatures popped up, "hello darkness, my old friend. I have come to talk to you again." A spider came down, "hello."

"Because a vision was softly creeping. And it left it seeds while I was sleeping." He flicked the spider on his arm off. "And the vision that was planted in my brain..." A Bas-huumminhuff came out and said, "still Remains..."

"In the sound....of silence..." We sang as the creatures went to sleep. "May I?" Asked Branch. Oh no...Poppy gave him the instrument and he threw it in the fire and went to sleep. Poppy eyes were wide as she tapped her fingers on her right palm, not believing what just happened. But it just did... "Anyways, we have to sleep now," I said. "Goodbye." I pulled the sheets on and drifted off to sleep.

It was morning. I yawned and packed up my sleeping bag and set off. Then we reached the root tunnels. "Which tunnel do you think is the old escape tunnel?" I asked Branch. "I don't know..." He replied, mysteriously. "Choose a hole wisely. For one with lead to Bergen town, while the others to CERTAIN DEATH....death....(death)" there was an echo. "Who said that?!" Branch yelled. "IT WAS.....me." said cloud guy. He popped out of the tree nearby and walk towards us. "Heya guys, how's it going? Welcome to the Root Tunnels. So I just wanted to warn you that one tunnel will lead to Bergen town and the others to CERTAIN DEATH." He greeted. "Can you tell us which is the correct tunnel?" I asked. "You bet." He said. "Thanks. But we can take it from here." Branch said. "Branch he can help us!" Poppy insisted. "I don't like the looks of him. I mean, who wears socks with no shoes?!" Branch asked. "Just give him a chance!" I argued. "Okay, fine. Which tunnel do we go?" Branch asked. "First you have to give me a high five."

"What?!"

"Oh-oh-oh! I'll do it!" Poppy said. "High fives are fun," I said. "Oh, I know you guys-"

"Girls," I growled. "You girls would do it. But will he?" he replied. "Alright dumpy diapers. Up high."

"Nope." Branch replied. "Party on the top floor."

"Nope."

"Little slappy, make daddy happy?"

"That's just weird."

"C'mon! It's just a lil' high five!"

"No thank you, I'm good!"

"Here, just do this." He clapped his hand. "But with your hand."

"Thank you-"

"Tank you." I cut in. "Tank you for showing- Hey!" We laughed at his accidental pun he made. "It's just ONE high five! The other tunnel leads to CERTAIN DEATH!!!!! Get perspective!!" Poppy said. Branch sighed. "Just one high five and you'll tell us which tunnel to take, right?"

"So easy." Cloud guy whispered and had a lazy smile on his face. "Ughnnnnn!! FINE!" He said and high fived Cloud guy. Or at least, tried to. "Too slow!" Cloud guy said. "Too SLOW?!" Asked Branch. We giggled.
