"If the human race wishes to have a prolonged and indefinite period of material prosperity, they have only got to behave in a peaceful and helpful way toward one another."
-Winston Churchill

Eleanor awoke that Monday morning with the sun in her face as it peaked over the horizon and the first rays had hit her eyes, interrupting the peaceful dream that took her far away from there.
But she only turned over and shut her eyes, not wanting to be bothered with the day.

No matter how much she tried, she couldn't get out of bed. Eleanor had no energy to do so.

Eleanor didn't want to face a lot of things that day ranging from books to boys. She already over exerted herself in so many ways and seeing her sister only made the home sickness creep in more today.

She didn't want to try so hard anymore to be the best version of herself.

Eleanor wanted to go home.

"Come on, you can't hide from your problems Eleanor." Marcella said, causing her bed to sink in when she sat down. Even Percy leaped up.

"Yes I can. I should just accept that I'm a complete failure." Eleanor groaned in response.

"Where's the girl who leaves everyone speechless? Even Tom Riddle himself? You're sixteen, you're allowed to say yes or no to any guy you please! Get over it. You don't even have to try, El, you have enough energy to raise your hand first and shut the Slytherins down." Marcella boasted, her posh voice sounding as influential as Slughorn who had a few too much to drink at one of the balls.

Eleanor opened her eyes, wincing at the sunlight.

"Thank you, Marc. I think I needed that." Eleanor said, taking a deep breath.

Of course it didn't cure her of her problems. But she tried to force herself into that mentality.

"I'm not letting you fall into the slumps, darling. You have a reputation to keep." she grinned.

Marcella was right and Eleanor knew it was true but she didn't want it to be.

But with a little push, she was able to step into a fresh uniform and properly do her hair and make up to put up the false idea that she was actually ready to take on the day. Marcella had went to breakfast and Eleanor skipped out this time around for she had no appetite.

Alone in the Ravenclaw common room, she hadn't expected anyone to be there by the time she was ready.

But she came out to see a young brunette who wore pigtails in her hair and had tears slipping out from underneath of her circle framed glasses. Every problem that troubled Eleanor this morning slipped out of her awareness and she walked over to the girl, her concern on her.

"Hey, is everything okay?" Eleanor asked.

The girl raised her head from where she sat on the blue couch, seeming startled at Eleanor's approach but she put on a warm smile to show she meant no harm.

"Yes. Nothing's wrong, I'm fine--" the girl replied, choking in the middle of her sentence on a pause that caused her to swallow hard.

Eleanor knew very well things weren't fine and she took a seat only a few feet away from her. Somehow, she never seen this Ravenclaw before and she decided to use her Legilimency. Immediately Eleanor figured out her name was Myrtle Warren and had Muggle parents and she prayed that wasn't the reason she was crying because someone decided to pick on her. But when she came across the face of Olive Hornby, she sighed. The girl who wore Slytherin robes had been teasing her glasses and facial features.
