**Cry's POV**
I lay back on Felix's couch, staring up at the white ceiling, tapping the TV remote repeatedly against my chest to the rhythm in my head. Felix tapped his fingers against the kitchen counter, whispering to himself. Our kiss had left us both numb with love, but when we came home, Felix had freaked out a bit. The reason, possibly being, his mother was home.
"Who's your new friend, Felix?" she asked, her tone rather business-like.
Although she gave off a superior aura, she didn't bother me. I've taught myself to ignore people who thought they were better than others. When I first met Felix, I thought he was that kind of person. Now, I know he definitely isn't.
"His name is Cr- Ryan."
"Hello," I waved the remote in her direction, and sat up on the couch.
"You just make yourself at home, don't you?" she sassed, crossing her arms, and leaned against the fridge. Her eyes, an olive green/ blue shade, studied me, like a hawk studies its prey. She was attempting to intimidate me. Game on.
"Well, I feel very comfortable here. Felix makes it feel better than home," I grinned, glancing over at Felix, who was staring wide-eyed, and frightened at me.
"So, you've been here before? Felix, what did I tell you about inviting strangers?" she snapped, glaring across the kitchen at Felix.
"I- I'm sorry... I-uh..."
"Felix has been a great friend. He's so kind," I purred, the mischievous grin on my lips making Felix more nervous.
"Kind? I would not describe Felix as kind."
"Well, maybe you don't know him, like I've gotten to. You seem to never be home," I said, my tone unwavering.
Felix gasped, eyes popping out of their sockets. Maya ran around his feet, so he scooped her up, holding her like a pug-shield, to protect himself from the daggers shooting from his mom's eyes. His mother stepped towards me, her lips an emotionless straight line, her dead eyes resembling Felix's before I managed to change his life.
"No wonder you two are friends. You're just another prick."
"Mom!"
"Get out of my house," she said, her voice cold, biting at my pale skin. "You are never allowed back here. I don't care if Felix pulled you off the street, and you have nowhere else to go. I want you the Hell out!"
"Mom!"
"Felix, it's fine," I said, looking behind her, at him.
Tears flowed down his cheeks, and he buried his face into Maya's fur, to hide the devastation on his face. I looked back at Johanna, and smiled, a wicked, conniving smirk, that managed to spark a look of unease on her unwavering expression.
"Let's go, Felix."
"Excuse me?" Johanna growled, glaring at me with murderous eyes.
"We're leaving."
Felix gasped, staring wide-eyed at me, lowering Maya hesitantly to the ground. He stepped forward, his teary, red eyes held onto mine, hypnotized by my nerve. Johanna stepped between us, her eyes on Felix this time.
"You aren't going anywhere," she snapped. "Go to your room."
"Felix, let's go."
I stepped beside Johanna, a grin on my lips. I could feel her eyes burning holes into the side of my face, her hands shaking at her side. Felix's eyes looked from me to her, confused, until he finally took another step in my direction. I stepped slowly towards the front door, Felix following me like a zombie.
