I can't believe it. Jake Chicago the new kid in school gets me in detention! I've never been in detention or got in trouble at all. Who does Jake think he is?

Its 2:51pm, the end of school. I get a text from Jess saying that she told Mr. Wrootniac that I'm stuck in detention and Ms. Syndhu is being a butthole about it and not letting me go

I sit in the desk that I sit in for class and I see Jake sitting in the table furthest from my location. I glare at him for making me stuck and late or maybe even miss the show!

"Okay you two, my expectations are: No talking to each other, no cell phones allowed, I'm putting the timer for 2 hours because I have to go photocopy work but I'll still be roaming around the school so don't even try to escape. I'll be back to check up on you guys" Ms. Syndhu leaves and I sigh, the play starts in 2 hours

I get a text from Katrina

Brendon, I'm bailing you out what room are you in?

I text her back: Katrina she will find me and force me to go back to class. If nothing bad happens i'll make it on time. I'll text you after

I put my phone on the desk and sigh, then Jake speaks up

"Psst...wanna bail out?"

I look at him with clench my jaw "Ms. Syndhu said no talking if you didn't listen to her" I snapped at him

Jake smirks "oh yeah? What about you? No cell phones allowed."

I curse under my breath wishing that he can not be a smartass for once

"Fine. Fine. You wanna bail? Why don't you go then? I'm staying right here till two hours have passed so I can go perform for the play tonight" I say crossing my arms

Jake stands up grabbing his bag and walks towards me. I look out the window, pretending that he's not even there, then suddenly he grabs my backpack and runs out the room

I gasp and run after him "Jake come back here with my stuff!!"

He goes up the stairways, skipping two steps at a time and I run up them panting

"Come and get your stuff Brendon!" He runs across the skybridge and into the theatre

I run inside and Jake is standing beside Mr. Wrootniac smirking and drops my bag in front of my legs

I pant and turn red as everyone is looking at me and as a shy person who doesn't like getting this much attention, I freeze.

"Ah I see Mr. Chicago has helped you bail out of dentention...High five" Mr. Wrootniac gives Jake a high five who he gives one back

"I heard Brendon here has the lead role tonight and it wouldn't be a show if the lead wasn't present am I right?" Jake discusses and Mr. Wrootniac nods and then Jess rushes over and hugs me and talks to Jake, thanking him for bailing me out and then a bunch of girls are crowding him

"Brendon lets start getting your wardrobe ready" Amanda the dresser for the play says and I walk with her but I glance at Jake who watches me go into the dressing room

"Andd..done! You look like Fredrick Finkleton" Amanda says

I look at myself in the mirror, wow she did a really good job

I hug her and thank her and she tells me to start rehearsing and I head on stage where all the characters and extras are practicing

I look around at the empty seats, wow a full house tonight?!

Jess walks over and I realize something, where's Jake?

"Hey uh Jess? Where did Jake go?" I ask trying not to sound desperate or concerned, just a question

"Oh he went back to detention and if the teacher comes he'll say that you had a family emergency and had to leave"

I feel bad. Jake is alone in the room by himself. I can't believe he did this for me. But why though?

We do one last dress rehearsal then it's performance time!!

I peek out the curtain and see lots of parents, students and teachers watching the play. I see my parents and I smile then I turn and try to calm my nerves

"You ready Brendo?" Katrina says and I nod. She gives me a big hug for good luck then the music goes down

It's show time.

I walk up to the dark stage and then the lights shine on me. I take a deep breath and look up at the audience

I start saying my lines then soon other characters come up on stage and then the scene plays like a movie

Its a success! Everyone is doing their best until...

I turn and face the audience then I see Ms. Syndhu enter the theatre

My heart starts pounding fast, She might see me!

I stay in character and continue to say my lines. She notices me on stage and she lifts her finger and points at me but before she could yell my name..

"MY SHOES UNTIED!!"

CRASH!

BANG!

THUMP!

Ms. Syndhu screams in pain and everyone looks at them

Oh my god..

Jake fell on top of her!!

The teachers crowd around her and then Mr. Wrootniac tells us to continue and stay in character but gross ass Gerry panicks

"BLOOD BLOOD BLOOD BLOOD!" Gross ass Gerry hugs Katrina in fear and Katrina screams and pushes Gerry to the ground and he starts having a seizure

Jess starts crying as Jake could be seriously injured and Katrina starts ranting at Gerry to take a fucking shower

Everyone in the audience start to leave and Mr. Wrootniac tells the audience to stay but they are not listening

I look down upset, this is the worst day ever
