As we step into school just chatting, I can already feel the harsh and sinister stares boring into my fragile soul. Hinata notices and he tells me to just ignore them. I look up at the slightly taller orange haired boy. "Thanks Hinata." I say, then I plaster my fake bright smile that fools everyone onto my face. Hinata smiles back at me, not seeing through the mask I have on. "No problem ________! I'm always here for you!" He says. "I gotta go now, seeya around Hinata!" I say as I run off before he can reply, unfortunately, as I was running I bumped into Kara, the main reason I hate my life. "Well, well, well. Look what the trash dragged in, the queen of them herself." Her and her crew snickered at the remark. I was about to say something when a threatening voice said something from behind me. "Why don't you stop being a bitch to this girl Kara and fuck off." I turned around, and sure enough, there was my best friend. Tsukishima Kei. He walked up to us and stood in front of me, as if to protect me from harm. "Oh come on Tsukishima, don't tell me you're gonna stand up for that twerp." She said with a hint of annoyance in her voice. "Why not join us, I'm sure we can have a lot of fun together." She says flirtatiously, then winks at him. Tsuki just stares at her with pure disgust and annoyance. "As if I would leave one of my best friends for you, I would rather hang with her than a selfish, self absorbed, pig like you." He spat back, Kara was clearly taken aback by this comment, I even giggled a little at her reaction. She looked at me and sneered "Don't you be laughing twerp, you won't always be protected." She gave me one last death glare, and Kara stomped off as her crew followed. "Tsuki, you didn't have to do that, I can fight my own battles." We both knew that wasn't true, but he didn't argue. "Let's just get to class _______, so we don't get in trouble." I sighed. "Do I still get to go to volleyball practice with you guys?" Tsuki smiled slightly. "Make it through the day first." I smiled up at him. "You can count on it." Then we both walked off to class.
