Eventually, Red came to the forked road. She began to walk towards the left path
when Wolf appeared and blocked her way. “Where is such a young girl like yourself headed
to?” asked the wolf with fake kindness.
“Oh, just off to my grandmother’s.” Replied Red. “A nice man told me to take the left
path, for it was the quickest.”
“Nonsense,” said Wolf, “you have no reason to be in such a rush. I’ve been down the
right path myself, and it always tends to have the most beautiful roses.”
“Well,” said Red, “I guess it wouldn’t hurt to pick Grandmother a few flowers.” She walked down the right path, tossing the Huntsman's words aside.
“Foolish young girl,” thought Wolf. “Now I shall make it to dear Grandmother’s house
first.” Wolf raced down the left path with speed. When he finally arrived to the old lady's household, Wolf burst through the door and ripped the old lady to shreds, releasing his inner animosity. He knew the
grandmother’s flesh was too old and rough to be pleasing. He cleaned up the mess and quickly dressed into one of Grandmother’s old nightgowns. Wolf made preparations and laid in bed. All that was left to do was wait.
