The music of the waves beats in your ears, as the sun through the water creates patterns on your skin. You were up near the surface again, watching the birds overhead as the smaller fish stayed closer to you, knowing the birds usually stay away. You were't quite sure why the leaders of your tribe warned you to stay away from the surface-- surely the landwellers would not dare come out this far?

(For the sake of this RP, at least, mermaids do not have as many children as fish have, but twins, triplets, etc. are not as rare as they are for humans.

And don't be afraid to give your characters powers! Maybe your mermaid can shift into the animal who they're half of, maybe they can fly-- your limit is your imagination.)
