When we were about to go home, Joshua insisted to walk us home.
"Oh my! What a gentleman!" My grandma flattered him.

"That is the least thing I could do!"

"But you didn't have to! We don't live that far" Grandma informed him.

Joshua just smiled in return as we walked home.

When we arrived home, grandma smiled as she walked inside the house.

"Don't stay out late!" she screamed from the house, making me confused.

"Wha? What do you mean grandma?" I asked her.
"You are young! Take a walk around the island!" she smiled as she stood in the front door.
Before I could protest, she locked the door!

"Make me no choice?" I mumbled to myself.

"Want to take a walk?" Joshua asked.

"Sure" I smiled as we walked away from my house.

"So, you dance a lot here huh?" he looked at me with this gentle gaze.
"y-yeah. It cheers them up when I dance. It also makes them want to work harder. I want to help everyone on this island." I explained.

"That is a lovely thought! How is it to live on this island?" Joshua commented.

"It is not much to say... I mean, it is my life"

"Don't you ever want to do something more?"
"I-I never thought about it... "

As I looked down at my walking feet, I noticed that my heart began to beat faster again.
My eyes tried to steal a small glance on Joshua, as I tried to look at him, my eyes met his gaze again.

"What do you do to kill time here?" He asked with his gentle voice.

"What I do? Hmm... I usually help out... Grandma is the one who watch TV, so I do the dishes, clean the house or something like that."

"What do you do for fun?"
"Fun? I think helping out others is pretty fun! But sometimes, I run around the island"

"Hmmm" Joshua responded. He didn't look very impressed about my answers.
"How is your home?" I asked him with confidence.

"My home? It is good. I was raised in LA, and then moved to Korea"
"LA? As In USA?"

"Yeah, so when we first moved, the one thing that surprised me most was the cultures. They were so different that it made me really shocked"

"So a culture shock between USA and Korea, right?"
Joshua looked at me with wide eyes.
"Hey, I do know other stuff that how to live on this island. Miss Lee  have a lot of books about different countries, cultures and languages." I explained with a smirk.

His face soften as a laugh escaped from his mouth.
The way he smiled was so cute, which made me smile, but as his laughed disappeared ,an awkward silence filled the air between us.
And I didn't like it, at all.

Why was it so hard to talk normal with Joshua?
Was it because of my damn heart?
Stop beating!
Ehm, when I think about it... don't... I need you to live.

"S-so why did you decide to be an artist?" I asked him nervous, trying to fill the awkward
silence.

"Well, mostly because I love singing, but also this is my way to express myself. I want my singing to help others who is having a hard time" He explained with a spark in his eyes.

"Sounds incredible! That is a dream right?"

"Y-you don't have a dream?"
I shaked my head.

"I am only happy to live on this island."

"What about you?"  he asked me with his gentle eyes facing towards me.
"Me?"

"Do you like singing?"

"The only thing I have related to singing is my mother. She would always sing when we worked."

"Oh? Does your mother sing at home too?"

"My- my mother is no longer here" I explained, giving him a sad smile as I clenched my hand around the bracelet that rested on my wrist.

"Oh, I didn't- I am so sorry" he apologized.

"Don't be sorry! I didn't tell you! But don't worry! I really don't remember her. Neither my father."

"(Y/N), can I ask you something?" Joshua suddenly asked me in a serious tone.

"Sure?" I answered unsure.
"Do you want to sing?"
"Huh?"
"Do you want to sing?" Joshua repeated.

"I want to try, but I have a terrible voice. I don't want everyone to hear it... but I promised Woozi, kind of"

"What about we two practice together first?" he suggested.

"Just us two?" I confirmed.

"Yeah, bad idea?"

"No! Sounds good! I look forward to it" I smiled as looked at him.

His face looked troubled at first, but it soon softened to his usual cute face.

Then it hit me.
Woozi asked the same thing as Joshua...
Me and singing..

I wonder why, I mean is it just a coincidence or did they try something?

To be honest, I was looking forward to the singing lesson with Joshua and it looks so much fun to spend time with Seventeen, but can I really trust them?
They are idols, they live in a different world than me.

We soon reached my home again, which meant that our night walk together came to an end.

I don't know why, but I felt my mood drop... I didn't want to leave Joshua.

For some reason, I wanted to spend more time with him.

"Well, thank you for walking with me" I thanked him.

"No problem! It was really fun talking to you (Y/N)!" Joshua smiled.
Before I could walk inside, he suddenly grabbed my wrist, which made me look at him.
Then he pulled me into a tight hug.
Shocked over his sudden action, my eyes widen as my heartbeat fasten.

"J-joshua?" I asked shocked, which made him break the hug.
"It's a american thing, I thought you knew?" He commented, raising an eyebrow.

"I guess I still have a lot to learn" I tried to smile as I started to scratch my head.

"Good night (Y/N)" He waved as he started to walk away.
"Good night Joshua" I smiled as I walked inside.

That night, my heart was beating like crazy!
I don't even remember how I fell asleep, but Joshua was on my mind the whole time.
