2 days went past, just me being locked away in my room.
It was only 2 days until they left.

"What should I do" was the question that swirled in my head.

Grandma and me had at talk last night, where she told me that no matter what I chose, she would support me.

Then I told her about my fear, about my parents and so on.

She wanted me to go with the boys, to get an adventure, while I could.

I didn't want to live my life in regret, but I do want to stay here on the island too.

I mean, what if I can never return?

My thought was interrupted by a soft knock on my door.

"(Y/N) Dear? Maybe you should get some fresh air"

"Sure" I answered as I stood up from my bed and walked my way towards the front door.

A let out a big sight as I started to walk.

"It's already dark... why wouldn't it? it's like 10pm..."

I hid my hands in my pockets as I started to admire the beautiful moon.

Tonight was the full moon, last time I saw it was when me and Grandma was celebrating her birthday.
And suddenly, a memory that I wanted to forget flashed in my mind.
"it was full moon when the news about mom and dad was brought to us..."

My head started to fill up with memories of my parents.

Even though I didn't have many memories, they started to replay in my mind.
One of them was when my parents gave me this bracelet for my first birthday.
It was too big for me then, but now, it fits perfectly.
"I miss them" I mumbled as I walked my way towards my field.

"Oh! long time no see" I greeted my plants.
"Sorry for not being able to take care of you"

I sat down on my knees, making my jeans dirty.

They still looked healthy, thank goodness.

Then a dark silhouette took my attention.

I turned my head towards the shadow, not expecting who it was.
"Joshua" I called out.
"(Y/N)?" he asked as he walked towards me to confirm.

I got up from the ground and brushed the dirt away from my knees.

"What are you doing here?" I asked him.

"Well, I could ask you the same question" he answered back while he crossed his arms in front of his chest.

"I am here to check on my plants, what is your excuse?"

"I am taking a night walk"

"Through my field?"

"Yeah, I was hoping I would find you" he smiled as he put his palm against his neck.

"Oh?"

"Yeah, a little bird told me that you have birthday today"
"Birthday? THAT'S RIGHT!!"
"wait, you forgot?"
"Kind of yeah... I had been thinking about your manager's offer all this time."

"Well, I am not here to ask you again. Maybe you should think about something else for now." Joshua said as he took out something from his pocket.
"Close your eyes" he commanded.

Just as he said, I closed my eyes, waiting for him to tell me when I could open them again.

I felt something cold against my wrist, but it soon disappeared.

"Okay, you can open your eyes" he confirmed as I opened them, looking down at my wrist.

"A ribbon?"

"Yeah... I am sorry I couldn't give you anything else. We got our suitcases back and that was the only thing I got."

"It's cute" I mumbled, hoping that Joshua couldn't hear it.

"This ribbon has traveled together with me over the world. I just hope it was enough"

"Are you kidding! This is perfect!! Thank you!" I smiled, admiring the cute red ribbon.

"you know (Y/N), even if you decide to not come with us, I want you to remember us. I want you to keep look at Seventeen grow, and I want you not to forget me." Joshua looked at me with serious eyes.
"I will never forget you or Seventeen" I smiled, showing him my wrist with the ribbon on it.

"Hey (Y/N), ehm, our manager wanted your answer tomorrow if it was possible."

"..."
"I can tell him tha-"

"My answer... I tell him tomorrow, but..."

"But?" Joshua asked, looking worried.

"Can- can you be by my side when I tell him?" I asked shy, looking down at my hands that were doing random stuff with my jacket.
"Of course, shall we meet here?"
I nodded as we smiled to each other.

"Promise?" I asked him, holding my pinky finger out to him.
"Promise" he smiled, interweaving our pinky fingers.

"Come on, I walk you home birthday girl" Joshua winked to me, taking my hand in his.

"ehm" I tried to hint to the hand.

"Just think about it like a extra birthday gift"

A smile tugged my mouth as we slowly walked out of my field.

"How is the boys doing?" I asked Joshua.

"They are doing ok, we can survive now" he smiled, trying to hide his cute laughter.

"How are you doing so far?"
"Me?"

I nodded, looking at his face.
"I guess I am doing ok. Trying all this jobs is really fun, and everyone is super nice to us."
"Nice? How?" I asked, curious.
"One of them gave us kimchi and roasted seaweed." he smiled.

"Oh, that is nice!! Mr.Kang?" I asked.
"Yeah" he laughed.

We started to talk, but the more we got into our conversation, the more time flew from us.

And suddenly, we were right by my house again.

Joshua was still holding my hand, not intending to let it go.

"ehm Joshua?"

"OH, sorry!" he apologized as he let go of my hand.

"Well.. I see you here tomorrow then" he smiled.

"Ehm, Joshua?" I asked nervous.
"Yeah?"

"Could I maybe go over to Seventeen's house tomorrow, like before I tell my answer?" I asked shy, facing my gaze to my feet.
"Of course! I am up around 6"

"Please sleep a little longer" I joked.
He started laughing before he looked at me again, making my gaze meet his.
"But I am up when you arrive then. I can't promise about the other boys.." he informed.

"I am prepared" I joked again, laughing at my imagine in my head, sleepinghair and half asleep boys.

Suddenly, I looked at Joshua, who had a serious expression on his face.
Slowly, his face got closer to mine, making me backing of.

But that didn't stop him.

As I flinched my eyes shut, I felt something hot on my cheek.
When I opened my eyes again, a small smirk was on his lips.
My hand automatic went to my cheek as my head started to proceed what just happened.

Did he just kiss me!?

Joshua put his finger to his lips.
"Our secret" he winked as he started to walk away, leaving me stunned.
