I woke up and checked my phone. I had like ten text messages from Makayla, all saying that she was at her new house just around the corner from me. I got up quickly and just threw on a pair of leggings, a vest top and an Adidas jumper. I quickly did a natural look for my makeup and then put my shoes on and then told Liberty and Derek I was going but then Ricky started crying because he wanted to come with me and then Liberty told me to just take him, so I quickly put his shoes and jacket on and then left.

I closed the door shut behind me and heard someone coming down the stairs. I looked up to see who it was and it was Jake. He stopped on the stair he was at and we just looked at each other until I broke eye contact and said "Come on Ricky lets go see Makayla" and I took his hand then we started walking down the stairs.

When we got to Makayla's new house I let Ricky knock on the door. Makayla and Ricky had met each other briefly a few months ago at my birthday. When Makayla answered the door we both hugged each other and then she invited us in. After we had caught up (I didn't tell her about Jake and I don't think I was going to) and after I said "Hi" to her parents and her little sister Ronnie. I asked if she wanted to come to my house for a bit, she said she would have to ask her parents first. After she did she said she as allowed.

When we got into my apartment (luckily we hadn't seen Jake) me and Makayla went into my room and decided to do what we always did when one of us came over to each others houses. Watch the scariest horror movie we could find on Netflix and then watch it with all the lights off.

By the time we had finished scaring each other half to death it was about half 7 and Makayla had to go home, so I said I would walk her since she didn't really know her way around yet.

After i had dropped Makayla off, I was walking back and I heard someone walking behind me and I kept checking to see behind me and their was this same guy walking behind me, so I decided to run and then the guy decided to run. I ran into the flat and started running up the stairs and it just so happened Jake was walking down the stairs. I looked at him for a split second and then ran into the apartment and into my room.

About 10 minutes after I came Liberty came into my room and asked me what I wanted for dinner. I lied to her again and said that I had something to eat at Makayla's. After she left I started crying. Then the door went and everyone made me get it, I quickly looked in the mirror and my eyes were red but I decided to get the door anyway. When I opened the door it was Jake. He said he had a parcel for me that came to his door instead I said "Thanks" and then he left so I closed to door.

I woke up the next morning and felt my stomach rumble since I hadn't eaten in like 2 days. I looked at the time and it was half 10. I decided to try and stay in bed till 12 so that I wouldn't have to eat breakfast. I tried to fall back asleep but I couldn't so I decided to just go on my phone.

After scrolling through social media for about half an hour I heard a knock at my door. I said "Come in", Ricky came running in asking me to take him to the park. I said "Yeah okay, I suppose I'll take you". I quickly got changed and put my make up on then went through to the living room but Liberty and Derek weren't home. I wen't through to see if Angelica was home to but she had left a note on her bed saying she had wen't to hang out with Ronnie. Then I asked Ricky where Liberty and Derek were and he said they had to go to work. I grabbed my keys and then walked out the door to take Ronnie to the park.

I closed the door locking it after me and then I took Ricky's hand and started walking down the stairs. I heard someone coming down the stairs but this time I decided not to look up.

I was walking to the park with Ricky and I saw the same guy that was chasing after me leaning against a lamp post. I held Ricky's hand tighter and asked if he wanted to just go the shops and I'd buy him a big bag of sweets. He said "Yeah" but only because I was buying him sweets.

After I came out the shops I was still holding Ricky's hand and as I got closer to our flat the guy was sitting on the steps. I quickly turned round and told Ricky we were going to Makayla's.

I was walking really fast because the guy saw us and started following us, so I picked Ricky up and started carrying him because I was walking to fast for him. As I was walking I saw Jake I tried to avoid eye contact with him, i also kept looking behind me and the guy was still following us. Then Ricky said "Auntie Kady your scaring me". I told him that it was okay and I hugged him tighter. While Jake was walking by accidentally made eye contact with him then I quickly looked away.

When I got to Makayla's house I knocked on the door but there was no answer so I knocked again and I still got no answer so I looked to see if the guy was still there and he wasn't so I walked home.

I couldn't see his face because he was wearing a black hoodie with the hood up and a black scarf around his mouth and had his head down most of the time.

After we got in Liberty and Derek texted me saying they weren't going to be home in time for dinner. So I made Ricky a microwaveable meal.

Half an hour later I then realised that I had to go and get the mail. I told Ricky to stay where he was and don't answer the door to anyone.

I walked out the door locking it behind me so that no one broke in while I was getting the mail.

After getting the mail I was walking up the stairs and then I heard a scream coming from inside the apartment I dropped all the mail and ran and unlocked the door as fast as I could and I slammed the door open. Ricky was lying on the floor screaming and crying. I ran over to him leaving the door wide open. He had split his head open.
I quickly called Liberty and told her what had happened she told me to call an ambulance and she would meet there.

When the ambulance had came they got Ricky and told me to sit in the ambulance beside him. I held his hand the whole way there crying because it was all my fault.

A while after we had got to the hospital I was sitting in a chair beside the hospital bed Ricky was lying in while Liberty was shouting and screaming at me giving me a lecture on why I shouldn't have left Ricky on his own. Then I shouted back saying "YOU'RE THE ONE WHO TOLD ME TO GET THE MAIL AND NO ONE ELSE WAS THERE TO LOOK AFTER HIM SO I GOT THE MAIL AS FAST AS I COULD". She then said that she didn't want me back in the house so I said "This wouldn't have happened if you had just let me run away the first time".

I ran out of the hospital and went to the park Jake had took me to.
I was sitting on a swing with tears falling down my cheeks and then I heard someone come and sit beside me. I looked to see who it was. It was Jake. Then I looked away and he said "I heard what happened to Ricky, is he okay?". I said "I don't know my sister doesn't want me near him, she just kicked me out". Then Jake asked me why I didn't show up. Then I told him what had happened. Then I said "You didn't even let me explain you just stopped talking to me. You have no idea how that made me feel because I really liked you and I still do but it doesn't matter anymore. I might just end it all it's probably best". Before Jake could say anything I got up and walked away. Then when he got up I started running. I heard him shout "Don't you dare do what I think you're going to do Kady". I ignored him and kept running.

When I got into the apartment I went straight to the medicine cabinet and grabbed really strong paracetamol and filled a glass with water. I went through to my bedroom and sat on the bed and I swallowed a big handful of paracetamol the. I lay down.

My eyes were about to close but then I heard my bedroom door slam open. Jake came running to me crying. I started crying as well and he picked me up and lay me in the bathtub and made me throw up most of the pills. I looked at him crying and said that I was really sorry. He picked me up and carried me back to my room and hen called an ambulance for me.

He held my hand the whole way in the ambulance and also held my hand while I was lying in the hospital bed.

The doctor came in and told me and Jake that I was going to survive.
