"If you love me... then why aren't you committed?" He said.
I shouldn't really be listening, I know, but it's not just something I should walk away from. They are upset, I get it, but it's intriguing. Not their emotions but their relationship. It's always been complicated I guess you could say? But that's just the way it seems from their actions. It seems awkward. They never spend time together, and when they do they don't hold hands or talk. It's silent, and not a pleasant silence in any sense either. Everything was fine until he proposed. She accepted, of course, but things were never the same for them. He seemed like he'd been pressured into doing it considering he was only 19 and she seemed like she didn't have the option to say no. He doesn't understand himself, she knows that and so does he, yet she doesn't make an effort to try and help. That's why I'm listening. I wouldn't label me and him as 'friends' in any sense but I am there for him I guess, call it whatever you want. He seems to like to call it friendship. It all started just because someone decided to call us 'the undercut twins' when we were stood next to each other at practice one time and ever since that moment, he claims that we are 'BFF's', honestly I don't even know.
"You know you don't understand yourself.. and you know I can't help. I'm sorry but we can't keep going on like this.. we're through, this pathetic thing we call a relationship is over.. I can't take it anymore."
"W-wh...at?"
That was the very moment that his heart shattered
The very moment that I wished I wasn't there. He came running round the corner, must have seen me somehow and wrapped his arms tightly around me.
"Beka..."
I sighed.
The very moment that I realised how important I was in Jean-Jacques Leroy's life...
