"Please don't make me remind you how stupid of an idea this is," Malia complained catching Scott off guard. Raising an eyebrow he turned to her confused.
"This is the only idea we've been able to come up with that can actually help!" Scott informed her. Isaac sighed from his position on the doorframe,"Its still a stupid idea," he murmured.
"Hey a little confidence in me would help a lot here! I've been back a week and all I've tried to do is help," Theo exclaimed while helping Deaton set up the materials.
"Please don't speak unless spoken to!" Jackson said annoyed sitting on the counter. "Same goes for you," Derek muttered causing Jackson to roll his eyes annoyed.
"Look I wouldn't mind actually having a fair fight against an angel for once! And if these knights of hell are going to start showing up to kill us, I'd like to not die!" Liam said supporting Scott. Noticing the looks the pack was giving him he quickly added,"Unless any of you have a better idea that can help us!?"
Scott nodded towards his beta and walked over to Deaton and Theo. "Just warning you this isn't going to be painless, in fact it could be one of the most painful experiences you've been through," Deaton informed Scott.
The Alpha looked down at his tattoo ,remembering how painful it had been to get it burned on. He took a deep breath and nodded understandably. "Worth it." Malia groaned annoyed before turning around and storming out of the building bumping shoulders with Isaac. Moments later she was being forced back in by Peter.
Theo pulled a chair over for Scott and the Alpha sat down preparing himself. "Jackson and Liam come hold your Alpha down," Theo said bit they didn't move," Please, you're the stronger betas and I'm not trying to have Scott kill his boss."
Liam quickly walked over and after hesitation Jackson joined. "So what's going to happen exactly?" Derek asked.
"Mountain ash, wolfsbane, and milestone are ground up, lit on fire and placed into the cup," Theo informed Derek," Scott drinks it. Yeah I know sounds stupid but listen. The chemicals are going to rush to his brain and throw him into a trance where he finds a stronger anchor."
"Can't he find a stronger anchor without this?" Jackson asked. "No, because he needs to find his true anchor," Theo explained starting to get frustrated. "The hell is a true anchor?" Isaac asked suddenly interested on what was going on. "It's essentially when your anchor is so strong that it gives you strength because you have full control over everything. It is usually something or somebody you wouldn't even guess or thought of. Nobody will know but you, and it gives you purpose, an open mind and let's you do things thought impossible. Everyone can have anchors but they're usually temporary because sooner or later you'll find one that's stronger. Now only a true alpha ," Theo informed the Curley haired beta.
"That is also entirely theory, never been proved," Peter said speaking for the first time. "Look it's real! Only reason it hasn't been attempted is because Scott is the first true alpha in centuries. Trust me just this one time," Theo exclaimed. Catching everyone's glares he spoke a little les confidently," Trust Deaton..?"
Everyone's eyes made there way towards the vet who was deep in thought. He crossed his arms and nodded. "If it will help Stiles, and help fight off these new enemies of yours... I say it's worth the risk.
"Ok good! One more thing," Theo said looking around. "And that is?" Isaac asked tiredly clearly bored.
"I need Malia." Malia raised an eyebrow confused looking at the chimera. Noticing the look Theo scratched his head frustrated. "When Scott falls into his trance, he's going to need someone to pull him out. And considering Stiles, Lydia, or Kira is here I need you to pull him out of it." "Why me?" "Because Derek, Isaac, Jackson, Peter, and Liam have all fought against Scott. The trance he's going into he needs someone who's always stood by his side, even when things where looking bad."
"Thanks to you," Liam growled angrily. "Wouldn't he be pulled out of the trance when he figures out what his true anchor is?" Derek asked confused. "No when he figures that out he's most likely going to start thrashing out in pain. That's when he goes from the chair into the ice bath," Deaton informed the former alpha. "So then you want Malia to calmly talk him back to reality?" Peter asked. Isaac scoffed," Good luck with that." Malia turned around flashing her blue eyes at Isaac and raising her lip showing her fangs. Isaac just smiled lightly unafraid of the were coyote.
"My point exactly."
"Look she's the only option! Stiles would be the best option then Kira! But this is the only way! So how about we stop arguing about this and do it?" Theo said.
"He's right," Scott informed the group," And to be fair this isn't your guys choice it's mine."
"Are you sure?" Deaton asked. Scott nodded and Jackson rapped his arms around the alphas shoulders while Liam held onto his legs.
Theo leaned down and whispered into Scott's ear so silently that only Scott could hear,"Nobody but you can know who it is."

Deaton lit a match and lit the materials on fire. He handed the cup to Scott who looked at it hesitantly. Taking a deep breath he gulped the flaming chemicals down. It burned his throat, his stomach, and then into his veins. The others watched as Scott's eyes burned red and he let out a roar. The veins on his skin turned a fiery red as they climbed up from his hands to his head.
Jackson and Liam struggled to hold Scott down as he thrashed around. Scott's clawed hand grabbed onto Theos arm digging in. Theo grimaced in pain but clasped Scott arm. And to everyone's surprise he started taking the Alphas pain.
Moments later Scott's body went limp, his head leaned back on the chair, his chest was falling and rising assuring the pack he was ok.
"Now what?" Liam asked. "We wait," Theo said clutching onto his arm. "And how long will that be?" Isaac asked showing concern for Scott. "I don't know? An hour? Maybe more it just depends on how strong his connection is with the anchor," Theo explained.
Liam shook his head clearly frustrated. "If he dies, you go back to hell," The beta growled before walking to the lobby of the building clearly nervous. Theo's jaw tightened and he looked at Scott with worry. Scott McCall wouldn't die. He was sure of that.
