One week laterDraco
I watched Hermione hold my baby girl; our baby girl. Rose has been much more lively and we're already seeing a personality.
The past week has been really stressful. Hermione wasn't healing right and the healers are starting to worry about a rather deep wound in her leg. No, its not the mark, it's something that Lucius did to her. It wasn't healing and it was highly likely to get infected. Healers have been talking about if it gets infected what they would do. Their thoughts aren't pretty.
Then there's Rose. She seems to be getting better, but she still needs a new heart. Sometimes, she'll be in pain. She makes it quite obvious too, gladly. I would rather her tell us she's hurting than hide it. She's usually awake too. Hermione is always wanting to hold her.
We're looking for a heart. We already decided we needed to move somewhere with better doctors. We discussed moving to New York, in America. It would be a big change, but Hermione and I found it has one of the best heart hospitals in the world. We want the best for Rose.
I snapped out of my thoughts when Hermione asked me something.
"What?" I asked, dumbly.
"I asked if you want to hold her," Hermione stated.
"Of course!" I grinned, carefully holding my baby.
Rose was perfect. From the hair on her little head to her tiny baby toes.
"Hello, Rose," I grinned, kissing her cheeks.
She was so cute. I pulled her to my chest and cuddled her close.
"I love you," I whispered in her ear.
She was so calm in my arms. Every time a nurse tries to feed her, she flips out.
"I love you, Draco," Hermione smiled, putting her hand over my heart.
I kept one arm holding Rose while the other went around Hermione.

That night, Hermione and I lay together in her bed. She was asleep already, but they don't use the sleeping drought on her anymore. I've been as careful as I can around her and Rose. They're both so fragile, I feel like I'm going to hurt them if I move just a little to quickly.
Hermione hasn't healed well at all, and Rose isn't well. I'm so scared I'm going to hurt them. The part with Hermione that worries me the most is that she can't sleep alone. She needs me by her to sleep. Just one wrong move on my part, though, could really hurt her.
She shifted a bit, putting me in a position to not move at all. She moved her right leg between mine. If I move at all, I could hurt either of her two wounds.
I sighed and closed my eyes.
~*~*~
I woke suddenly when Hermione gasped in pain. My eyes snapped open as I sat up.
Hermione had her eyes pressed closed and she was gripping her stomach. My eyes widened as I realized what happened.
"Love, I'm sorry!" I gasped, instantly feeling guilt.
"No, it's okay. I'm fine," she told me.
I made her move her hands to see the wound was bleeding. Panic raced through my veins.
"Hermione! I'm so sorry! I'll go get a healer!" I rushed out of bed and to the door.
When I got a healer to come in, I was completely panicked. As the healer healed Hermione, she looked at me.
"Draco, I'm okay. It's only a little blood," she told me.
"Only a little blood? Hermione, I hurt you," I stated, sitting in a chair.
The healer finished and excused himself.
"Draco, come here," she mumbled, grabbing my hand and trying to pull me over to her.
"No, Hermione."
"Please," she begged. "I can't sleep without you beside me."
It was one in the morning. I pulled the chair to the bedside and took her hand in mine. She gave me a disappointed look.
"You know that's not what I meant," she mumbled.
"Hermione, I'm not sleeping beside you again until you're completely healed," I told her seriously.
"But-"
"No, I'm tired of hurting you," I stated. "I'll be right here; go to sleep."
She tightly gripped my hand and set it under her cheek.
"I love you," I whispered.
"I love you too."
