At eleven years of age, Barry watched as lightning, red and yellow lightning, spun around his mom, Nora Allen. His dad, Henry Allen, ran downstairs to see what was happening. It seemed to be impossible, how could this be happening, and why to Barry's family? His Dad yelled out Nora's name and she replied saying, don't let it touch you. The flashes kept going off and all three of them kept closing their eyes, Henry turned to Barry and told him to run and then, he was outside and a yellow streak of lightning zipped away. Barry decided to run back to his house, it was a 10 block run, how was he so far away? Eventually he got home and he found that the police had shown up. The sirens were going off and yellow tape was everywhere. Then his Dad was taken away, and with that, Barry ran inside. Then he saw her, his mom, laying there with a knife in her chest, blood splattered everywhere. Then Barry fell to his knees.
Lucky he didn't grow up alone, his Dad's friend, Joe West and his daughter, Iris West took him in, Barry turned out to be a great, and happy guy.
14 years later
Barry is in a coma after being hit by lightning while the particle accelerator exploded. He had been in a Coma for almost 9 months and everyone was worried for his health, so worried that they moved him to STAR Labs, the facility that blew up.
