Chapter 1-How it all begins

(A/n ~this is my first fanfiction and also,I'm open to suggestions.I really hope you like my story,and hopefully you could even give some feedback. Oky,I'll go now,enjooooy \(^w^)/ )

One week...One week has passed since you moved in a small apartment ,away from your little house which you called home.You moved in Japan,hoping you could have a better life ,with a job that could pay your bills,get you a bigger house and put food on the table .Maybe it could even be possible to find an acceptable partner with which you could share all of this with...Maybe.Those are some wild thoughts to have when you're barely 18.

It felt lonely here ,since you haven't made a friend yet.The old ones kinda faded from your life,bit by bit,until they stopped existing.But that didn't drag you down,you were determined to live a happy life and not think about the past.

Today was napping/being lazy day,favourite day of the week.With an extra large bag of chips in one hand and a fluffy blanket in the other,you made yourself comfortable in the big,messy bed.

"Ahh,finaly!Some me time."you said grabbing the TV remote and switching through the different channels.Finaly,something actually entertaining found its way on your TV's screen,a documentary about wild life in the Amazonian forest.You watched for about half an hour,and fell asleep.

~Time skip~

An annoying woman's voice woke you up.It came from your neighbour's apartment,and whoever was that woman,she seemed to be pretty close to taking all the building down.

"God damn it,every time I try to get some sleep,someone just has to ruin it for me."

Curiously,you got out of bed and put your ear against the wall.

"Just tell me,for how long are you planning to toy around here,Maou?Don't you understand,you don't belong here!We need to get back home and finish what we have started.I won't be at peace until I..."

The woman was interrupted by a man's voice.

"Emi,stop talking so loud!Anyway,this isn't the proper place to discuss about things from our home."

Yeah,he's goddamn right.I'm trying to get some beauty sleep here.

The rest of the conversation was too muffled for you to hear,so you just gave up and went back to bed.But you couldn't sleep.The curiosity was just too much to endure.Now that you've heard them,it felt like you needed to meet them and maybe see what kind of people they are.But what excuse could you have to visit them?Maybe giving them one of the cakes you bought yesturday while you were out grocery shopping?You didn't get the chance to go and meet them since you've moved here,being busy with work and studying,so now was the perfect opportunity to do so.

"First,I gotta get out of my fluffy bed..and my comfy pyjamas..."

You contemplated a little, wheather you should give up all these things and get your lazy ass out.In the end,you got up and changed your clothes.

So you put on a yellow t shirt,a pair of blue jeans and white sneakers,and decided to let your hair down.Took a final look in the mirror..

"Yaaaas,babe.You look fabulous!"

With that being said,you took the cake and went out to your neighbours.Arriving at the door,you used your free hand and knocked.

"Just a second!"

The door opened,revealing a young man with black hair and...red eyes?Well then,maybe he just likes to wear red contact lenses,wearing contacts is kinda popular around here.The man smiled kindly and opened the door wider for you to enter.

"Hello,my name is Maou Sadao!You must be our new neighbour,am I right?"he said while holding the door open for you.

"Yes,but how did you know ?"Then you thought,only your apartment and his were occupied,and since you came with a cake in your hands knocking on a stranger's door...yeah,it's seems pretty obvious.

"Well,I saw you a couple of days back in the hallway,using the washing machine...Oh,hope you don't think I was stalking you or anything"Maou said nervously.

"No,not at all!"you reassured him."Anyway,my name is(y/n) and I decided to bring you thins cake as a new house gift.Hope I didn't bother you or anything.."

"No,not at all.We really appreciate you thinking of us!"

You walked in the apartment,and a smell of cherry blossoms and a little bit of mint went through your nostrils.Probably the detergent they use.Maou introduced you to a tall,blonde guy and a beautiful girl with red hair..probably the same girl who woke you up.

"(y/n),meet Emi Yusa and Shirou Ashiya!Guys,meet (y/n)!She just moved in a couple of days ago and she decided to pay us a visit and she also brought us caaaaake!I hadn't put my mouth on one of these delicious wonders since forever!"he said happily while getting some plates and forks out.

"Hello,(y/n)"said Emi and Ashiya.

"Hello"you said getting a little bit anxious.You didn't really know how to "small talk" and your social skills weren't the best either,so this situation was a little awkward for you.But you decided to give your best shot and make a good first impression.

A few minutes later,you were sitting next to Emi,eating a slice of chocolate cake with your new friends.They started talking with eachother about bills and adult stuff,so your eyes wondered around the room.In your right,you saw a laptop with a tab left opened,with an online game paused -"The Enchanted Cave 2".

"Oh,I used to play this game and like it so much!"you said to Maou pointing towards the laptop."What level are you on?"

He looked a little bit confused then he laughed.

"That's not my laptop and I don't really like spending my time playing these "online games" ,I prefer going to work or reading some magazines.That's me and Ashiya's roommate's laptop.He's out taking the trash at the moment."

"I see..."you said thinking who this roommate could be,but you stopped asking questions and continued eating your cake.Nobody really mentioned him or her,that was a little bit rude,but you just shaked it off.After eating and chatting for a little bit longer,you decided to head home,because it was a little bit late.

"I'll head back to my apartment,it was nice meeting you all"you said while bowing.

"The pleasure was on our side,(y/n)!Please,come again whenever you have free time."said Maou.

You got out in the hallway,and then heard footsteps coming up the stairs,You decided to not act like a creep and turn around to see who it was,but you could make out with the tail of your eye a boy,with purple hair,as he entered Maou's and Ashyia's apartment.

"He must've been the roommate they were talking about..he seems nice."

After such a long day,you took a well deserved nap.
