Chapter 4-Scary stories

You waited for 5 minutes..10..15...still no sign of Ashiya.

"Well this is awkward.."you thought to yourself,while trying to stretch your legs a little.

You looked over to Urushihara,sitting in his boxes and prayed that he would come out eventually and talk to you.Of course,that didn't happen,so you thought to force it a little.

"Ok,it's time I try my communication skills...this is going to be awful."

You cleared your throat ,trying to get his attention.He started moving in his boxes,kinda like he was annoyed of you trying to disturb his...whatever was he doing.Sleeping?Not sure,you could see him blinking and playing with his fingers in the box,dragging them on the surface of the cardboard.

You wanted to give up,but the voice in yourself insisted that you didn't.

"Step up your game,girl and get a grip.You wanted friends,right?Here's your chance!"

"Nice weather,huh?"you said,completely forgetting it was a stormy hell outside.

Silence.

Then an annoyed moan.

"What are you even talking about?Don't you hear the thunders and the rain falling on the roof?Was that kick to the head that bad,'cuz you sound like you don't know what you're talking about."

You kept a stern look on your face,trying not to embarrass yourself more than you just did.Drops of sweat were now falling on your tomato red face.

"That's it,dig me a hole and let me die there.Why do I lose myself so easily when I try to talk to attractive guys..or anyone,for that matter?..should I try to say something again and embarrass myself again,or lose my chance of having this alone time with him?"

"Oh,I...I was joking"you stumbled in your words.

"Well it surely wasn't funny."he said,going deeper into his cardboard fortress.

Suddenly,a huge thunder shook the whole building ,and Urushihara got up,scared,through the boxes,breaking them apart.You got up too,but your legs were sleepy and you just feel on your tummy,while Urushihara tripped on the corner of the table,falling on top of you.

"Aaagh,get off of me,you're so heavy!"you said,out of breath.

He got off of you and blushed a little.

"Are you ok?"he said,trying to look disinterested.

"Yeah,I think.Maybe a broken rib,but other than that..I'm fine."

"Good."he said while getting up and looking away.

You couldn't help but laugh at your awkwardness and his clumsines.He looked at you,his eyebrow twitching.

"Stop laughing.It isn't funny."he said,looking at his laptop.

You stopped and started to play with your thumbs,a little bit let down by his bitter attitude.

"Sorry..."you said.

"What are you even sorry for?Gosh..."

He tried to open it up,but it didn't work.Then,he just sighed and put his head on the table.

"Not fair...When is this crappy weather going away,I need my internet and my laptop back!"

"When,we could make the best of this weather..."you said,thinking aloud.

Urushihara didn't look too interesed,but still looked at you,waiting for you to finish your idea.

"Like what?"he asked,sitting next to you.

"Like..uhm...telling scary stories?"

"Yeah,and he's gonna say that it sounds dumb and send me back home,probably."

"That sounds like fun,I guess."he said,laying back a little."Want me to start?"

"Well yeah,ok.Let me get comfy,first..."you said,also laying on the floor,resting your head on your elbows.

"Ok,I'll go grab something while you're at it."

He then went to the closet and got out a letter with some kind of postcard in it.His skinny,long hands were shaking.Then,he got back and sat down next to you.You blushed seeing him so close,but tried to keep cool.

He got his face closer to you then scratched the top of his head,and you blushed,looking away.

"But I warn you,you might never want to go to the seaside again when I'm done with this story."

"We'll see about that.I don't get scared that easy.."

Another thunder was heard in the distance,while he started telling you his story.

~~~Urushihara's POV~~~

"I'm going to scare the living hell out of her.I kinda feel bad for doing this..oh,whatever."

This is the story of the Humanoid whale,a creature so big and so vicious that it surpasses any demon to ever exist.It is said that this creature feeds off of the beauty of young boys and lives ...right in our apartment complex.

I hear her awe in fear.Good.

"You mean..right...here?"she says,pointing to the ground.

"Isn't that What i just said?"I answered,irritated."Anyways,the legend says that if you dare to look her in the eyes,your heart will explode and your eyes will pop out!"

Then I quickly get the picture of Miki Shiba and shove it in her face.She freaks out and...punches me in the face.Ouch,didn't expect that.

"Why would you do that,you freak!?"she said,angry.

"Did you expect that to actually happen,you lunatic?"I said,just as angry as her.

"She's not such a good puncher,but she still managed to scratch my cheek with those long claws of hers.."

I look at her and she looked at the picture,a little bit surprised.

"Isn't this the landlord?"she said,picking up the picture.

"Yeah,she's the Humanoid whale."I said.

"You meanie,are you really picking on her for her weight?"she said,smiling.

"Nah,but she's just super creepy.Trust me,that woman has some evil plans on her mind,I'm sure of it."

I start to shiver,just thinking of her being even near me.(y/n) looks at me and starts laughing..again.I join her this time.

"That was a good scary story,well done."she said,clapping.

"Well,the pleasure was all mine."I said,smirking.

Then,the phone started ringing.Wonder who it is...
