Reader POV:

Dream

"Finally!" I yelled as the plane touched the ground. "We're finally here!" I said smiling unbuckling my seat belt. I practically dragged Cato towards the luggage claim.

Spotting my (f/c) bag I let go of Cato's sleeve and scurried over to the medium sized bag. Before I could pick it up a man said something to me."You sure you don't need any help with that, doll?"

I flinched at the name 'doll' making me put on a fake smile and turn to him.

"Nah, I'm fine, I might be small but I can handle things myself, thank you." I said through gritted teeth as I picked up the bag easily that seems to be very heavy making the man gape in shock. 'I'm South African, I'm stronger than I look.' I thought to myself walking towards Cato who was waiting for me.

"Hey, there's a cab waiting for us outside to pick us up." Cato explained picking up his green bag as started walking towards the giant glass double doors that led to the outside....

*groan*

*moan*

I looked down from the tree that I was trying to sleep in.

'Really? Couldn't they wait until morning. I really was enjoying my dream.'

"What do you want." I scowled down at the zombie, as I started calling them. "Why can't you go crawl in a hole and die...." I complained knowing that the zombie doesn't understand me.

Taking out a sharp dagger, I aimed at it's head. I flicked my wrist and the dagger went flying right between it's eyes.

"Gotcha." I smirked as I got back into my relaxing position. "I'll get it tomorrow." I yawned referring to the dagger.

I closed my eyes and almost instantly fell asleep continuing my dream.

Dream

We drove for about 4 hours until we got to our destination, a little town named Millstone. "That'll be 65$ dollars." The driver grumbled clearly irradiated. We quickly gave the rude guy the money and got out of the cab. We quickly got at the flat where we were supposed to stay. We were here because we had a job interview in Washington which was only seven hours away from where we were staying for the time being. I know it's a lot. But when you're living on another bloody continent it's kinda hard to get a place to stay.

It was a nice little place, not much but something. There was a television in one room with a big red couch and a round coffee table in the center. The kitchen wasn't too small and the bathrooms was very clean and spacious. The two rooms each had a big, soft bed and (f/c) covers.

"Hey Cato?" I asked looking out the window. "Yeah (y/n)?" Cato asked me plopping down on the couch. "I'm gonna go grocery shopping, so see you in a few!" I yelled flying out the door. "Ok, but don't be gone too long!" Cato yelled back at me. "Okay!!!" I yelled again walking out of the building and down the street.

"Mack's Food Factory." I read the glowing red words in front of me. "Interesting name." I said out loud walking into the small shop. It was late afternoon, almost dark, so there wasn't a lot of people in the small building. I walked around for a bit until the ground started shaking. I was used to small earthquakes but I never felt one as bad as this, they just don't exists in South Africa. Everybody started yelling and screaming. Me, being the sophisticated person I am, yelled like a chicken and literately gave the ground a fricken kiss as a fell and slid underneath a table. "My beautiful face." I whined rubbing my nose.

Suddenly the roof came caving down. Luckily for me I didn't become a flipping pancake. I cursed in my native language. I couldn't see much, just rubble and a dark sky and something hit my head making me slowly black out.

Cato POV:

"Okay!!!" (Y/n) yelled back making me smile at her carelessness. My phone buzzed alarming me that I had a message. Opening my phone, I checked to see who is was.

Dear Cato and (y/n) Harts.

Welcome to our country, since you found a place to stay so far away we planned on giving you an apartment were you can stay if you are accepted. We look froward to seeing you next week Saturday, 16;00 for your interview. We wish you luck and we can't wait to see you tomorrow.

Kind regards,

Keith Shadis

"Cool." I said as I layed down on the red couch. "Free apartment. That means no rent." I grinned to myself making me look like 'Jeff the Killer'.

Me and (y/n) came to work at a company named Survey Corps. Everybody around the world knows about that place and they only employ hard workers. Me and (Y/n) were smarter than we looked so we thought we'd be perfect for the job.

About 5 minutes that (y/n) was gone, there was a sudden earthquake. Lot stronger than the ones back in South Africa. It caught me of guard making me fall flat on my face. I quickly crawled under the coffee table remembering what we learned in school. After the earthquake the building was still intact that surprised me of how strong this place actually is. I looked out the window to see the town in a complete mess. There was only one thought in my head as I ran out of the building: Is (y/n) okay??

I started searching frantically for my sister when somebody grabbed my arm and threw me into a yellow bus. I tried to get out but they wouldn't let me. They had army uniforms on with 'Military Police' standing at the back of their jackets...and a...is that a unicorn? 'Okay, got to focus Cato.' I tried getting rid of them again but they knocked me out, a faint (y/n) passed from my lips before I blacked out.

Reader POV:

I woke up covered in rubble with my head hurting as if I hit something with it.... wait.... I did... I grumbled at the pain as a crawled out underneath the table like a dying bug. I looked around me, seeming it look like the place was deserted. And I suddenly remembered something. Cato!!
