I waited for 45 minuets before a doctor came out

"I'm sorry to say but he's gone..." The doctor says

I just stayed silent because the pain I felt was like being dumped in a bowl of acid

For hours I was lost in my own mind

Until I could see him one last time

I took one last look at his face as I kissed his forehead

I stroked his hair, hoping he would wake up

But I knew, that was it
