Lelouch put his boys down the moment he walked into the office. He smiled warmly at Nunnally, who was patiently waiting for them. She looked up, relieved to see her brothers and nephews all right.

"Why don't you two boys go play in the playground room." Lelouch suggested to his sons. The boys faces lit up, they loved the play room Aunt Milly designed just for them when she babysat them on occasion.

The pair hugged Aunt Nunnally before running to the adjoined room. Laughter could be heard as they played together.

Nunnally meanwhile, was closing in on her brothers. Being the middle child, she was born minutes before Rolo, she took the liberty of being mother hen now and then with them. She had witnessed the whole ordeal from the office window. She hugged them all tightly, grateful they were safe.

"That scorpion didn't hurt you, did he? I saw the fight." She checked her oldest brother over.

"I am fine, Nunnally. Just a little shaken up. I might have bruised Rolo when I bonked him earlier." Lelouch chuckled, and together they checked the youngest sibling's forehead.

"Oh! I...Um I'm fine." Rolo blushed, rubbing his bruise.

"Let me see." Nunnally removed his hand to study the bruise.

"You'll be fine. Might want to put some ice on it later, but I don't think you have a concussion." Nunnally diagnosed, relief flooded her face.

"Yeah, Lulu has hard head." Rolo laughed, remembering the times their older brother accidentally gave him a concussion a few times.

"I couldn't bonk you with my hands, I had an armful of kids." Lelouch deadpanned, he at least tried not to headbutt his brother too hard.

"So, was that really Suzaku?" Nunnally inquired gently, noticing how the eldest tensed. Behind him, C.C. avoided eye contact and found watching whatever was happening outside more interesting.

"Yes, he was. It was...strange. Nana, he's changed." Rolo answered for them.

"How so? It's only been six years." Nunnally blinked.

"Six years grooming as a personal knight to a pampered princess can change a man." Lelouch snarled, eye flashing darkly.

"Lulu, that is our sister! One of our favorite sisters, if I recall." Nunnally crossed her arms.

"Don't hold it against them. We don't know the full story." C.C. chided him.

"I know well enough those two are romantic interests, I don't need to know anything else." Lelouch bristled. "And plus, he's not the Suzaku I fell in love with. Rolo is right, he's changed. He's put aside his heritage to become the spinning image of what it means to be Britannian."

"But that is still our sister. She couldn't have known we have been alive all this time, or that you and Suzaku have been together before they met." Nunnally pointed out.

"I know. I can't fault her for not knowing, but the fact she even touched him is making my blood boil." Lelouch admitted.

He glanced out the window just in time to see Suzaku and Euphemia following Nina into the building. He noticed how the knight held his head down, a sure sign that he was sulking. Lelouch didn't get a good view of the face to see if he was guilty or not, and he wondered why he cared at all.

He was my mate. And this is what happens after six years?

Lelouch had turned down suitors after his twin boys were born. These suitors ranged from Shirley, Kallen and even aristocrats that have settled here in Area 11. Even though it was frowned upon for a lone parent to tackle raising young without another parent around, Lelouch made a point to not take another mate.
