And I'm supposed to trust you because?" I said, trying to sound as confident as I can.
"You just have to trust me, I have to earn your trust to get your number right?" Caspar muttered while smirking and chuckling.
Kayla's POV
"Sorry pretty boy, you have to earn my trust don't other way." I replied confidently, slightly giggling, I got put of his tight grip and opened my car door. As soon as he got out of the way, I drove off.
I arrived at my house, finally, but my parents weren't home. Probably at work.
So I went upstairs and changed into some pj shorts and and baseball tee and then I put my hair in a messy bun.
I got my books and my binder and started working on my assignments for my classes.
I saw the project paper that was for Mrs. Sanders. It said that we had to make a short film for historical... stories of our choices? What is this, Language Arts, what the hell?
I put the aside and worked on my math, I decided that I wanted to take a break so I went outside to my balcony, but I noticed that the house next door had a moving truck parked in front of it. Great, new neighbors.
"Caspar! Can you help me carry these boxes!" A petite woman yelled, with an accent similar to.... wait.... CASPAR?
I saw him coming out of the house.. Shirtless, well hello abs. NO KAYLA NO.
I went back inside to make sure that they didn't see me. I started working on my math again, but I heard the door open.
"Kayla! Are you home?" I heard my mom yell from downstairs.
Without an answer, I ran downstairs and greeted them with kisses.
"Hey guys, where have you been?"
"We went to the grocery store to get some welcome gifts for the Lee's next door. Can you give it to them, hun?" My mom asked me sweetly, but I can't go there, I just can't.
"NO.. I uhm, have to finish my homework." I answered quickly and ran back upstairs.
I fell on my bed and I felt tired, I fell asleep quicker than I expected.
"Thank you for inviting us over, Mrs. Martin." I heard someone say from downstairs.
I quickly got up and noticed that there was a note on my counter.
Hey sweetie. The Lee's are over for dinner so dress nicely (:
I groaned, but not too loud for them to hear.
I went directly to my closet to pick out an outfit. I got my floral crop top and light washed skinny jeans with some black doc martins. I took my hair out of my messy bun and brushed it out, I was pretty content about my hair, the bun made it wavy. I fixed my makeup and grabbed my phone from the counter and went downstairs.
"Oh, hey hun, finally awake?" Mom asked with the biggest smile on her face.
"Yeah. I was tired from school, I apologize Mrs. Lee," I looked at Caspar's mom with the sweetest smile I could possibly do.
I quickly glanced at Caspar and I noticed he was staring at me... I looked away as fast I could.
"Hey uh, mom. What's for dinner?" I asked mom politely.
"Steak and lasagna. Just waiting for the steak to be done and we can start dinner."
Oh, boy, this is going to be the longest dinner of my life.
