Darkness

Chapter 1

I dab concealer over the tender spots on my neck wincing in pain as they disappear into my skin. The darkness is still lingering around the room causing me to tense and be on high alert. It will go in a few days, I know it will. Because that's what happens in an endless circle; one that seems impossible to break. Pulling on my dark blue hollister jumper I scoop up my books shoving them in my bag before running downstairs for breakfast.

"Morning!" I shout to whoever wanted to hear it.

"Naomi! My mum shouts back, "I'm trying to feed the twins! Have some consideration! Please! You know Jack is working nights!" I roll my eyes and pick the burnt toast out of the toaster and drink some juice out of the carton. Nobody would notice and I needed to start my car anyway.

Just as I'm about to reach for the de-icer my mum taps me on the shoulder making me shriek and drop my toast all over the floor and spill juice down my jacket.

"Mum! I'm trying to do something!" I scream totally pissed now that I've wrecked my outfit and my breakfast. 

"Naomi fr gods sake help me here please! Can you please wake up Jake and Libby then bring down some fresh nappies for the twins?" She puts her hands on her hips and glares at me the twins (Millie and Kate) sleepin gin her arms. I roll my eyes.

"Can't you do it? I mean I need to de-frost my car then get a new shirt! Because you made me spill orange juice all down mine!" Its her turn to roll her eyes now.

"Good you're already going upstairs then," She smiles slyly and starts to butter herself some croissants. I scream from frustration before running upstairs banging on Jake and Libby's doors then throwing ten fresh nappies down the stairs trying to make as much noise as possible while doing so. I heard screaming downstairs, satisfid I pulled on another jacket then jumped into my car before driving down the street.
