Team Up

Marinette's POV

I have gym next period, and today we're going to be playing soccer in teams of two. I quickly get changed in the locker room and head to my class.

Time skip

"Okay everyone I'll be the one pairing you together! So the teams will be Nino and Alya, Ivan and Nathaniel, Adrien and Marinette, Sabrina and Chloe, Alix and Mylene, Max and Kim, and finally Rose and Juleka." Coach said. We all walk with our partners to the field.

I can't believe I'm paired up with Adrien! But how am I going to play?! I'm just gonna get nervous and trip on the ball and kick it into the other team's goal and then land on top of Adrien and- no! I'm not gonna make a fool out of myself again! I'll just pretend Adrien is someone else, yeah that's a good idea, but who?

Who do I work well with? I know Chat Noir! I'll just pretend that Adrien is Chat Noir!

"Okay everyone! The first team to get three points win. The first to play are Ivan and Nathaniel vs Adrien and Marinette!" Coach yelled.

We went to the center of the field and got ready.

"Good luck guys." Ivan said

"You too." I said.

We let them have the ball first and they started the game with a kick-off. Nathaniel had the ball right now.

"Go block Ivan! I'll get Nathaniel!" I yelled to Adrien.

He nodded "Alright!"

I chased after Nathaniel and tried to get the ball. I'm a bit faster than him so I easily catched up to him. I stole the ball from him and started running to their goal and since Adrien is blocking Ivan no one was guarding the goal. I kicked the ball and made a goal.

The class cheered for us from the bleachers.

We continued playing until we won 3-0.

"Good game guys!" Adrien said shaking hands with Nathaniel.

"You too! You guys work well together." Ivan praised.

Once we got to the bleachers we got congratulated by our friends.

"Girl, that was amazing! You two are such a great team!" Alya exclaimed.

"Yeah, dudes that was awesome!" Nino yelled.

"Okay the next teams to play are..."

Time skip

Adrien's POV

The last teams left are Nino and Alya, and Marinette and me. We're in the soccer field and they let Marinette and I have the ball first so we started with the kick-off.

The game ended really quick and Marinette and I won. I never knew she and I worked so well together. Suddenly, like it was on instinct, we fist bumped and said "Pound it!"

We just stared at each other for a moment before I started smirking and said "I guess this is just like second nature m'lady."

"I suppose it is kitty."

After the game Nino and Alya congratulated us on our win and we headed back to our class.

"Alright congrats to our two champions for today Marinette and Adrien! Give 'em a hand!" Coach said.

Everyone clapped for us and we headed back to the locker rooms.

Time skip

School just ended and I wanted to ask Marinette something. I saw her talking to Alya and walked over to her.

"Marinette, can I talk to you?"

"Umm, sure Adrien."

Alya had a smirk on her face and said she was going to talk to Nino.

"Umm-a will you go out with me?" I asked her nervously.

A big smile stretched across her face and she said "Of course Adrien or should I say kitty."

"Good! I'll pick you up later tonight at 6 and then head off to patrol after our date!" I said.

"Alright I'll see you then bye!" She said as she waved.

I quickly headed home to plan everything out.
