There are Ten things you need to know.

Before we got into a boat to cross the Hudson, I stop to write a note,

Just in case I didn't make it through I want the whole world to know what I intended to do!

If I shoot first and throw it away; he had to yield! We both get to live another day! I know this puts me in a difficult spot but I got to throw away my shot.. I hope my plan goes the way I intended it to.
Oh thank goodness! I get lucky I draw first position. I sand facing east as I kid my ammunition.
It took some time waiting for Burr.
So I examined the gun that Philip used. He would never hurt a soul. He must have been so scared.

I put on my glasses, so I can see if Burr is softening
I see him glaring back at me
He's always hated dueling, hated confrontation
I never had his instinct for self-preservation
I feel a sense of calm fill me
It's not in his political interest to kill me.
My Eliza is still in bed! I wrote her a letter I could have written it better.
I close my eyes and count to ten.. God I can't wait to see her again!

One
Two
Three
Four
Five
Six
Seven
Eight
Nine
Number Ten paces fire!
And at that moment I shot yo at the sky..
But shot at me.
I heard Burr yell "wait!!"
He tried to come near me but he was ushered away.
All I felt was something stuck right between my ribs, blood pouring out like there is no tomorrow.
My vision got blurry and my body got very heavy.
"Eliza.. My love.. Take your time! I'll see you on the other side!" I managed to say. Last thing I feel is people frantically ridding me home. I died on the way there.

From the clouds up in the sky I got to see my wife...
One last time...
