₩ Chapter Two ₩

Eren sat in the classroom, twirling his pencil in his hand while staring at the wooden desk. Small conversations were being discussed all throughout the classroom, due to the fact they were getting a new teacher. The only thing they knew about the teacher was that it was a female this time. The Yeager's attitude was gloomy because his mother's birthday had passed. His eyes were practically darkened in sadness.

The door then opened, as a lady with ponytailed hair and glasses entered the room, with a bright smile onto her face and bag over her shoulder.

"Hola, students! How's it going?", she chirps. "My name's Hange Zoe. Call me Ms. Zoe, alrighty? Now, let's get started! When I point to you, I want you to tell me your names and your beautiful dreams. When that's done, we'll get to have a free-day!"

All the students, even Eren, stared in complete shock. Never in their lives, have they gotten a new teacher and a free-day all at the same time. Not to mention the cheerful attitude. But this was all part of the plan, Hange had to act her cheerful, bubbly self to make her bond with her students more stronger, especially with Eren. The female teacher then sat on her desk, and pointed a finger at one of Eren's best friends, Mikasa Ackerman. Even though she already expected who the Ackerman girl was, she just wanted to see what would her dreams be.

"What's your name?"

Mikasa stood up from her seat. She had short black hair, and eyes that slit forward, looking as if she was always on the alert. Her eyes were charcoal with a small spark in them. "My name is Mikasa Ackerman. I don't really have any dreams in particular."

Zoe tapped her chin and nodded, then pointed at a few other random students. Eventually, her finger ended up on the Yeager.
"You!"

Eren stood up from his seat. "My name is Eren Yeager. I dream of stopping the wildfires and to revenge my parents in the process."

A few moments of silence passed them by, until suddenly the class lit up with laughter, all except two students, Mikasa and Armin. Another student, named Jean Kristein was laughing so hard, he could barely let in a bit of air. The Yeager clinched his fist in slight anger, but the tension in his hand released when he felt a warm hand on his. Armin gave him a reassuring smile saying it was gonna be alright. Eren had returned the smile but still turned towards the class and shouted,

"THAT'S ALL YOU GUYS DO IS LAUGH. YOU NEVER TAKE THINGS SERIOUSLY, AT LEAST I'M THE ONE TRYING TO HELP STOP US ALL FROM GETTING BURNED ALIVE. SO UNLESS YOU'RE ACTUALLY TRYING TO DO SOMETHING, INSTEAD OF LIVING IN FEAR OUR WHOLE LIVES, SHUT THE HELL UP!!"

Hanji stared in complete shock but excitement, for she had never seen any child shout with such determination and anger. Armin and Mikasa gave a concerned yet warning look towards the brunette.

"Eren Yeager, see me after class please.."
