Chapter 2

I had another dream with 'the man'. His face is unclear but it is obvious in his facial features that he is smiling at me. Suddenly, the sky became dark and the lights flashed on and off and in an instant, he disappeared. Running and running to find him. Then the background became different and creepy where an old woman gave me a ring and warned me not to loose it until I find him. A white vortex upon the ceiling appeared and all was white.

And then I woke up...

I immediately sat up and felt nauseous that's why I held my head for support. When I felt fine, I looked at my left hand where a thin, black ring is worn on my my index finger. I'm confuse as to whether it is just a dream or a clue to my unknown past.

After a while, I realized that I am yet again in a foreign place. I am at a place I bet would be a bedroom. The place feels foreign. As I take in to my surroundings, I noticed a shelf where there a lot of things displayed. I went towards the shelf to take a closer look but it the sliding glass is locked.

Disappointed because I was not able to take a closer look at those precious things, I heard a noise outside so I decided to see where the noise is coming from. I slowly went out of the room and found a spacious living room. There are three doors but one is slightly open thus, giving me a hint as to where the noise is coming from. The noise becomes louder as I come closer. Surprisingly, because of my curiosity, I don't feel scared whatsoever.

I slowly, opened the door further and tiptoed as I went inside. I saw a shadow of a tall man not further away from me. The fear that is absent a while ago, slowly appeared as I saw him. But what is a bit odd and confusing is that I felt a positive emotion towards the man. Why did I became happy when I saw him. I decided to go towards him. A few feet away from him, I had the urge to go back but it was too late when I lost balanced because of my tiptoeing. My butt hit the floor.

"Oww". I slowly whispered.

When I looked up, I saw him standing in front of me. I was shocked by the situation to he point where I just closed my eyes, afraid of what it happen. But he acted first as he removed his mask and gloves and heard him like he was complaining before he scooped me up bridal style and we went outside.

I had a memory of 'the man' who always carries me like this. I pushed my thoughts away thinking it was just my imagination and it will only make me confused.

We went towards the spacious and clean living room. He pressed a button and then a rectangular portion of the wall glided swiftly and became a couch. He sat me there.

I can't explain the fact that I am comfortable with this man though he's a stranger.
