After the fireworks were done, Mina and Teague directed all their friends back inside the castle to get to bed. Charlie had fallen asleep, and Teague had carried him inside for her.

"Alright, honey, I'm just a few rooms away if you need anything, and Nan is the door on the right," Mina kissed him on the forehead. "I love you, goodnight."

Charlie gave a mumbled response, and Mina left his side and closed the door to his room. After she closed the door, Mina let herself smile. Teague had given her this wonderful gift, an amazing present, and she had had the audacity to believe that he didn't love or respect her. She turned to her left and saw Teague standing there, his dark hair sticking up in odd places and his white eyes dreamy and gentle as they watched her. Some sort of bubbly feeling exploded in her, like tiny fireworks going off in her chest. Maybe it was love, maybe it was lust, but it was beautiful and nearly brought tears to her eyes.

Mina opened her mouth to speak, but Teague was already there, pressing soft kisses onto her lips. He tasted sweet, like cookies and ice cream, and Mina couldn't seem to get enough of it.

"I love you.. so.. much," Teague murmured between kisses, wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her to him. Mina gently pressed her hands to his chest and pushed him back, eliciting a groan from him.

"I love you too." Mina gave him one last kiss. "But could we continue this... not right here?" She jerked her chin to the room right next to her, where her little brother was trying to sleep. Teague gave a sly grin and swept Mina up into his arms, kissing her mouth before she could make a sound. He kept kissing her and kissing her, stumbling to his room down the hall. He simply used his magic to open the door and kicked it shut behind him. Teague trudged over to his bed but set her down as carefully as he would fine china. Her heart ached at his delicacy, but she pulled him down with her onto the bed.

Teague's hands sought her in the darkness and pulled her close to him, like he just couldn't get close enough. Teague slid his hands up her hips and chest, until his they finally found her face, leaving trails of electricity all along her body. He began to kiss her neck, making his way from her collar bone to her jaw while his hands slid down, down, down back to her hips. Teague sucked gently on her left earlobe and chuckled in her ear when she moaned. His lips made their way along her jawline, he kissed her chin, her nose, her forehead. Teague made sure to get as close to her lips as possible without actually touching. Mina grew frustrated, and she tried moving to get a kiss, but Teague's fingers rubbed her in just the right place and she sank lower into the pillows, moaning.

"Teague, if you don't kiss me now, I'll - oh!" Teague's fingers rubbed harder and cut Mina's voice off.

"You'll what? What were you saying, Mina?" A grin lit up Teague's face as every time Mina tried to speak, he would only rub harder and faster, making her sigh and squirm against him. "Just let me do this, love. Relax." Teague took his hands up her thighs, ending the immense pleasure that made Mina writhe and she frowned, showing her disapproval. He laughed and leaned in to kiss her, sucking on her bottom lip. He felt her hands go to his hair and neck, pulling him closer and closer. He continued to kiss her as his hands pushed the fabric of her night gown up her thighs, exposing her underwear. Mina shivered, and Teague eased his kisses, making them slow and smooth. His fingers hooked onto her panties, slowly pulling them down and Mina whimpered, her hands stilling in his hair. Teague's mouth slid from her lips and went to rest right under her jaw, sucking and grazing her skin with his teeth while a finger pushed into her. Teague could hear her small whimpers and deep moans and the sounds drove him mad. He began nipping at her skin.

"Ow! Ouch, be careful, Teague," Mina's small voice was nonexistent to Teague's ears. He kept going, pushing in and out of her harder and faster, kissing her harder, biting her...

"Teague! Stop it!" Mina pushed him away and put a hand up to her neck where he had cut her. When she drew her hand away there was blood. She was bleeding all over from his biting. Teague backed away in shame. "Ouch, damn that hurt! Didn't you hear me telling you to stop?" Mina's eyes had tears in them. Teague had hurt her again. He jumped off of the bed and backed up against the wall, keeping himself far away from her.

"Teague, no, come back," Mina called to him, searching for her underwear in the messy sheets. "I've just got to clean myself up, don't leave, please don't leave again."

Teague shook his head and made way for the door to their room, trying to keep himself away from his precious Mina. He was dangerous, he was a monster, he couldn't even trust himself to kiss her -

"Wait!" Mina leapt from the bed and ran to him, not stopping until she got her arms around him. He could still feel her shaking. "Don't leave me again."

Teague hung his head in shame, and he brought a hand up to his face, the other hovering over Mina's hip but not touching her. She took his hand and wrapped it around her waist, forcing him to pull her closer to himself. Mina gently grabbed the hand on his face and kissed it, then pulled it around her as well. Teague's eyes were rimmed with red and tears fell down his cheeks.

"Oh, now honey, don't cry," Mina murmured, reaching up to brush his tears away. "We'll figure this out, okay? It'll get better. Now come back, yeah?" Mina led him back to the bed and had him lay down, then she snuggled in next to him.

"I don't think I can touch you again tonight. I'm sorry." Teague's voice was low and raw. Mina nodded, but moved closer to him anyways, pulling the covers over her shoulders and staring at her love through tears. He couldn't meet her eyes though and he rolled over so he would face away from her. His shoulders shook as he cried, and Mina wanted to hold him, but she knew that it would only make him feel worse. So there they lay the rest of the night, crying and lonely for the person just across the bed.
