It had already been 15 minutes since Star had called Marco down. She tapped her foot impatiently, sitting on the tattered green couch.

"That's it! What is taking him so long to get ready?" Star grumbled, stomping up the stairs.

"Marco, what are you doing?" Star entered the Earthling's room to see him hanging upside on his bed. "Shouldn't you be getting ready?"

"Thinking of all the miserable ways this day could go wrong," he mumbled.

"Don't be such a downer. Get up! We have a party to get to." Star smiles.

"Parties are just a disaster waiting to happen," Marco groans, sitting up properly.

"No, what're you talking about?" Star plopped down in the space beside him.

"Imagine, like, doing something stupid in front of everybody and they all just laugh at you," Marco sighed.

"That's not so bad, who cares what they think?" Star chuckled.

"Easy for you to say," Marco scoffed. "You're never the one to care about this kind of stuff."

Star stayed silent for a few moments before patting him on the back. "You'll be fine. If anything goes wrong, I'll be there to take all the attention away from you!"

"Thanks, Star," Marco laughed. "Now let's get going! The forecast says it'll start raining soon."

Loud music blasted throughout the house.

"Glad you guys could make it!" Janna smiled, greeting the two. "Make yourself comfortable. Oh, and Marco?"

"What?" Marco responded.

"Try not to puke. I don't want to clean that kind of stuff up," Janna chuckled before leaving to the next room.

Marco scanned the room, feeling his heart rate accelerate.

"You okay?" a person tapped his shoulder.

Turning around, Marco's eyes locked with Jackie. "J-Jackie!"

"Wassup. Didn't think you were a party person," Jackie chuckled.

"Neither did I," Marco mumbled, smiling meekly.

"Oh my god, you should come with me, you have to try the pigs in a blanket," Jackie grabbed Marco's hand and began leading him to the kitchen before he stopped her.

"I came here with Star, I can't just leave her," Marco bit his lip.

Jackie looked over his shoulder and gave him a smile. "She's already having a blast. Look." Jackie pointed behind him.

Marco glanced over his shoulder and saw Star already chatting with another person, smiling.

"I guess it's fine then," Marco looked back at Jackie.

She grinned and pulled him towards the kitchen.

"Wow, that's awesome!" Star laughed, a giant smile on her face.

"I know right? Man, pizza-cannons are the best," Justin chuckled.

"Woah, there's nachos here!" Star's eye lit up as she and Justin walked over to the kitchen.

"They're pretty good too. I don't know if they're as good as Diaz's though." Justin popped one in his mouth.

"Marco's nachos are really good," Star giggled, taking a bite. "But these could rival his."
