Alrighty so here is the next part. Comment, vote, fan. I love you all!

I heard Drake laugh and looked over to see him looking at my shocked face. “We do not kill creatures. The creatures die, and instead of wasting their bodies, we eat them. We of course leave enough for the forest creatures to eat too.”

“Girls over here!” I heard Rant’s familiar voice say. I turned to her and found she sat at the head of the table next to her husband. The table was wide enough for them to sit side by side. I looked down at the other end and saw whom I assumed to be the King and Queen. The King and Queen were elegant, no beyond elegant. No words could describe their poise and grace.

“Catherine! Come on!” I heard Anna yell at me from her seat. I sat down next to her and on my other side sat an elven man whom I did not know. Seated across from Anna and I was Christophe and Elizabeth. Elizabeth hardly noticed us though as she only had eyes for Drake.

“Hello.” I nodded to the elf next to me. He was a good six  inches taller than me sitting down let alone standing. He had long pale blonde hair and startling purple eyes. They reminded me of flowers. He was wiped of extreme color as all of the other elves were too. I couldn’t seem to look away from his purple eyes though as I heard Anna and Rant talking.

“Hello. My name is Sai.” He said with a large smile.

“My name is Catherine.” I said staring into his eyes.

“And my name is Christophe, this is Elizabeth, and that is Anna.” Christophe said interjecting himself into the conversation. He smiled politely but when I finally looked away from Sai and at Christophe I thought I saw a hint of anger in his eyes. I wondered what was wrong with him as we began eating.

“You should try that it is delicious.” Sai said handing me a piece of fruit. It was a splash of green and yellow. I hesitantly took a bite to find it extremely sweet and juicy.

“It is very good.” I said with a smile.

“Ah yes those are a rarity in our forest.” Rant said with a smile. “Whenever we find some we have a feast in honor of the forest blessing us with the delectable fruit.”

“As we should for something so delicious. How are you enjoying you’re stay so far in our city?” Her husband asked.

“It’s been wonderful so far. I do not believe though that Anna and Catherine ever got your name. They hurried off before you introduced yourself I believe.” Elizabeth said with a smile.

“Ah yes, my apologies. My name is Elrond.” He said with a smile. His eyes were as blue as Rant’s.

“How did you two meet?” Anna asked.

“We saw each other at a ball. As soon as we looked into each other’s eyes we knew that we were meant for each other. My le’osia.” He said the last part in almost a whisper to Rant.

“What does Le’osia mean?” I asked Sai in a whisper.

He smiled happily and whispered back, “It means soul mate.”

“The drakon call them twin spirits or twin flames.” Christophe said forcing my gaze away from Sai.

“How on Earth did you hear him?” I said with a laugh. “I could barely hear him.”

“Drakon have good hearing.” Christophe said with a smile.

The dinner continued much the same with Sai offering things to try and explaining some of the elven terms and Christophe interjecting himself. I was utterly dumb-founded as to why he was acting this way but eventually gave up talking to them both about an hour into the dinner.

When we got the desserts, I began talking to Rant about the meeting. “It is very formal. You will be talking to my parents mostly. At the meeting we will decide whether or not we wish to support your cause. If we decide to support you then we will give our support in every way we can. We will send some men along with you to make sure what you are doing is in our best interest too and make sure we are all sharing the burden equally in this fight. If we decide to not support you, then we will eject you from the city and make ourselves scarce for the upcoming struggle.” Rant explained. I sat dazed at her answer. How could they just ‘eject’ us and hide away in the forest when the fight will affect everyone? I hoped they would not be idiotic enough to shut themselves up and not even bother trying to help in the effort against the evil drakon.

“Ladies and Gentlemen! We will be moving to the Sacred One for the meeting now!” I heard a man say. I could not tell who though in the midst of all of the people now standing.

“What is the Sacred One?” I asked Sai as we stood up.

“It is the great tree of which we centered our city around. It is said a tree nymph lives inside that can tell of the future. We have not seen her though for thousands of years, so we see it as but a legend for the most part. It makes a wonderful story though doesn’t it?” He said with a smile.

“Yes it does. Where is it?” I asked amazed at the possibility of a tree nymph. Tree nymphs weren’t exactly common.

“Oh you don’t know! Of course! I am so sorry, I forgot you have not been showed around yet. Here come with me.” He said taking my hand. It felt very strange and awkward to touch him. It was this overpowering wrong sense that just sat in every part of my hand he touched. I heard Alex squawk behind me and he came up and shoved himself in between Sai and I. I patted his head in thanks and felt his happiness.

I left my hand on Alex’s back as we walked on in silence, as I was worried out of my mind at what the elves had in mind. I also felt Alex’s curiosity and wariness. We soon made it to a large tree, and large would be considered the understatement of the century. It was almost three times as tall as the enormous trees around us and those were larger than any I have ever seen.

“It’s beautiful!” I said staring up in wonder. It had vines climbing it with giant flowers sprouting throughout.

“Isn’t it?” Rant said coming up to us. “Come with me.” She said taking my hand and Anna’s. Elizabeth followed along behind us to where Rant led us. Rant took us to a grand root that they had begun using the giant root as a kind of stage. It was so large it was flat for about a quarter of a mile wide. On the stage stood the King and Queen along with Rant’s husband. I was pulled along by Rant onto the stage to where I stood right in front of her parents.

“Welcome to our beloved city. We have welcomed you in to speak of the matter which frightens all. That of Marcus, evil drakon, brother of our beloved Christophe. Christophe wishes for us to ally ourselves with the drakon to stamp out this evil that plagues us all. We have a great choice before us! Should we or should we not ally with the drakon?” The Queen said. Her voice was beautiful. It rose and fell in a beautiful melody that reminded me of the most talented singer among the Incantato.

I turned slightly to look out behind us to see the elves talking amongst themselves. Four people stepped forward amongst the crowd and began talking frantically as they walked to the stage. I could not make out what they were saying for they were talking in their native language which was just a bunch of sounds to me as their language was more music than words. They finally stopped in front of the Queen, bowed and then told her what they had decided on or what I’m guessing they said.

“We have come to a decision!” The Queen said in triumph.

Haha so I was a bit evil with this ending. What do you think they decided: yes or no?
